The sound of banjos, fiddles, and mandolins will once again fill the air as the Hatchie Bottom Bluegrass Jamboree returns for its eighth year on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., audiences will experience a full day of music honoring the region’s long-standing bluegrass traditions.

“Bluegrass is a part of who we are here in West Tennessee,” said Sonia Outlaw-Clark, director of the Heritage Center. “This festival gives folks a chance to sit back, enjoy incredible talent, and celebrate the traditions that have been passed down through the years.”

Festival Performers

First-time entertainers at the festival include:

  • Cowgirl Up Bluegrass – A hard-driving bluegrass band known for their energetic performances and love for entertaining.

  • Les Kerr – His acoustic guitar style draws from years performing in a bluegrass band and learning from heroes like Doc Watson and Bill Monroe. Combining “hot pickin’” with clever lyrics and an engaging stage presence, Kerr has become a festival favorite.

  • Tennessee Tradition – This year’s headliner, featuring Blake Hopper, is a West Tennessee–based modern traditional bluegrass band blending classic bluegrass, country, and gospel. With high-energy performances and deep respect for old-time string traditions, they embody the very spirit the Jamboree seeks to celebrate and preserve.

Former Golden Circle Opry producer and longtime bluegrass musician John Few will serve as emcee. Shade tree pickers are also invited to bring their instruments and join the fun at 10 a.m. for an informal pickin’ session on the main stage.
