This fall, Khruangbin will embark on a run of intimate shows in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut album The Universe Smiles Upon You. The Houston-based trio will bring this special tour to the Boulder Theater on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

About Khruangbin
Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Houston, Texas, formed in 2009. The group—Laura Lee Ochoa (bass), Donald “DJ” Johnson, Jr. (drums), and Mark “Marko” Speer (guitar)—has become internationally renowned for blending a spectrum of global sounds. As described by Vanity Fair, their music is “a mix of R&B, reggae, surf rock, Middle Eastern melodies, Persian phrasing, Latin rhythms, ’90s hip-hop, West African instrumentation, ethereal harmonies, psychedelic effects and rump-shaking disco.”
In April 2024, the band released A LA SALA, their fourth studio album and one of their most distilled and intimate works to date. That release launched their most ambitious tour yet, with multiple sold-out nights at iconic U.S. venues including Red Rocks, the Hollywood Bowl, Forest Hills Stadium, and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, culminating in a landmark performance at London’s Gunnersbury Park this past summer. Khruangbin has also become a fixture at top festivals worldwide, from Glastonbury to Coachella, Bonnaroo, ACL, and Primavera.
Even as they’ve expanded to global stages, Khruangbin’s concerts remain deeply connective, intimate experiences. This November, they return to their roots, celebrating The Universe Smiles Upon You with a rare series of small-venue shows for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
