Los Angeles country artist Rosy Nolan returns with “Get On Me,” an upbeat Western-swing romp that turns the chaos of modern dating into a cheeky saloon sing-along. Powered by sawing fiddle, thumping rhythm, and rowdy gang vocals, the single captures Nolan’s flair for classic country storytelling with a wink. Americana Highways calls it “old-time country with a kick of humor… the most entertaining thing you’ll see all week.”
The Jack Hackett–directed video (of country-comedy duo The Doohickeys) leans into vintage Hollywood charm: Nolan rides a coin-op horse beneath red velvet curtains while would-be cowboys tip their hats and posture for attention. It’s playful and knowing, a visual companion that underscores the song’s message about boundaries, desire, and not settling for less than a real partner.
“Get On Me” previews Nolan’s forthcoming LP, Main Attraction, due October 17. The album stakes out a lane where honky tonk, Western swing, and old-time country meet—fiddle-forward arrangements, twangy steel, and narratives that balance grit with heart. The focus is connection: searching for it, laughing at it, losing it, and finally insisting on mutuality. Recommended entry points include the single “Get On Me,” the honky-tonk burner “Dead on the Vine,” the storm-lit “Rising Up,” and the luminous country rumba “How It Feels To Fall In Love.”
Across the record, Nolan taps a deep bench of players while keeping the spotlight on voice and song. Her delivery is warm but flinty, equally at home with two-step shuffles and late-night confessionals. Themes of independence and self-respect surface often—sometimes wry, sometimes vulnerable, always anchored by classic forms that feel both familiar and freshly cut.

Press support has steadily grown around Nolan’s recent singles. Saving Country Music hails her as “one of the leading voices in traditional California country,” while outlets such as The AU Review, Atwood Magazine, Americana UK, and others have praised her songwriting, arrangements, and presence on record and on stage.
Main Attraction is designed like a classic set: lift-off with toe-tappers, a curve through mid-tempo grooves, and a final descent into late-night ballads that linger. It’s a sequence built for repeat plays and real dance floors. Under the sheen of fiddle and steel runs the thread that defines Nolan’s writing—clarity about what love is and isn’t, and a belief that honesty can be both tender and tough.
