Thanks to Nederlander Concerts, a few thousand fortunate live music fans were treated to an intimate concert at the beautiful Vina Robles Amphitheatre on September 22nd. St. Vincent and Spoon brought a blistering double bill of guitar-drenched rock to the mountain fringed venue just three days before their sold-out appearance in front of 18,000 fans at the Hollywood Bowl.
This past weekend, The Dave Matthews Band once again returned to the faithful in Colorado and performed back-to-back sold out shows at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Englewood. With a capacity of 18,000, each night was filled to the brim with both the casual listener and die-hard fan looking to catch a little more of the summertime magic those outdoor venues in the Rockies hold before the chilly nights set in and audiences are relegated to the indoors.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead kicked off their three night run at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ last Thursday to a packed house on a warm fall evening. Genre defining electronic musicians Thievery Corporation kicked off their Outernational Tour last Friday at the ornate Wall Street Theater in Norwalk, CT to a packed house. Despite issues traveling to Connecticut, the band was thrilled to be performing together, as this marks the first tour since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Dessa was on hand and lended support for the event.
Fab Four enthusiasts will be delighted this month to have been granted access to four previously unreleased mixes from the band’s 1969 and 1970 Get Back sessions which ultimately culminated in 1970’s Let It Be. The batch of songs, released collectively as a single titled Get Back (Take 8), includes alternate versions of “Get Back,” “One After 909,” “Across The Universe,” and George Harrison’s “I Me Mine.”
