It was all Scarlet Begonias, a touch of the blues, and a whole lot of funk and soul last night at the Boulder Theater. The Motet was back in town for an encore performance of their "Funk is Dead Show." They were in Boulder for the Halloween show last October and it just wasn't enough to last us another full year.

There's only one day left until the Dead Head event of the year! Don't miss the chance to join friends and fans at the second annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up At The Movies, this Thursday, April 19th at 7:00PM (local time). The Dead will be creening the unreleased iconic concert captured at Alpine Valley Music Theatre on July 18, 1989 in its entirety - that's two and a half hours of classic Dead - as well as clips from the Dead Covers Project, a Dave's Picks Volume 2 slideshow and much, much more.Limited seats are available.

Suwannee Springfest, held March 22-25 at the beautiful Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, Live Oak, Florida was the rainiest, most violently stormy festival I have ever attended, but it was still a great time and the show went on.  It rained off and on and then just on until late afternoon Saturday. After lightening struck by our tent and the crescendo of its thunder rang in our ears, the sun did come out in all its glory.

Real Gone Music enters its first Spring with a potpourri of reissues that are definitely not garden variety, with releases ranging from hardcore punk to power pop to Motor City rock ’n’ roll, doo-wop and Summer of Love fixtures the Grateful Dead, all due in late May.
