In 1964, Jerry Garcia and his buddy Sandy Rothman packed up a tape recorder and took off for the American South on a bluegrass pilgrimage. One of the groups they most wanted to see was “Jim and Jesse” (McReynolds), of Dothan, Alabama. They saw them, and they had a ball.

Jim and Jesse went on to legendary status in the bluegrass world with more than 45 years at the Grand Ol’ Opry, Grammys, and membership in any Hall of Fame that means anything to this music.

Today, Bear Creek Music Festival unveils the 2010 Festival Stage Schedule. With music in six different venues, Bear Creek offers nearly round-the-clock options with an incredible lineup. Headliners moe.

Bear Creek Music & Arts Festival is thrilled to announce a once in a lifetime set of music to be performed on Sunday, November 14. The incredible musicians of Lettuce will play a special set of music honoring the distinguished careers of Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis. The set will devote 30 minutes to each of their respective careers, including their solo work, their time together with James Brown and other work.

There was a buzz in the air of Boulder Colorado, October 9, 2010.  On the cool fall Saturday night, people were celebrating life, friendship, and the end of a very destructive fire that burned outside of Boulder early last month. Lasting nearly a week, the Boulder Fourmile Canyon fire was the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history; destroying 169 homes, and scorching nearly 8000 acres of land.

The All Good Music Festival is pleased to announce its 15th annual event to be held July 14-17, 2011 on Marvin’s Mountaintop near Masontown, WV.  As the Mid-Atlantic’s longest running music & camping event, this summer’s annual musical oasis saw the festival attracting record crowds, bringing in fans from every state in the country and internationally.

Strong winds from the west blew across a dirt parking lot… people tuck their heads, pulling their hats tighter to their skulls as they struggle against the wind, walking towards a dusty, rock strewn patch of earth… getting closer, t-shirts and the tarps they are laid out on struggle to stay grounded as their owners try to protect their wares from the dust… Girls in ruffled tutu’s and fishnet stockings are re-thinking their outfit choices in light of the chill the wind brings with it- but dust and wind are commonplace occurrences for these veteran Colorado concert goers… rocks brought along

On the night of October 7th, 2010, an eclectic crowd discusses festivals and shows of past in the brisk fall mountain air of Boulder Colorado. Crowds began pouring into the beautiful Fox Theatre as Brothers Past has begun to wrap up the last half of their set. Deep trance beats fueled by funky vibes, high pitched vocals, and high energy was met with a howling departing ovation from the crowd.
