The physical requirement of playing live music leaves little room for musicians to keep performing past a certain age.  Although a handful of timeless artists such as Buddy Guy, BB King, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney have been able to defy the limits of time, it goes to say that most careers decline past middle age.

The Dodos Announce US Tour with New Pornographers, Play Bonnaroo & Winnepeg Folk Festival.  The Dodos will Perform "Fables" On The Late Show With David Letterman / and they will Premiere "Longform" Video On Pitchfork TV.   The Dodos are on tour beginning in June, so check them out if they're in your neck-of-the-woods.

Gathering of the Vibes 2010 marks the third installment of a five-year contract with the city of Bridgeport to host the annual music, arts and camping festival at Seaside Park through summer 2012. After drawing 20,000 revelers per day to the 370-acre venue last year, the city and festival organizers look to spread more positive Vibes in 2010.  This all-ages, family-friendly event will be held from July 29 to August 1.

Rose Presents, one of the principal partners in the 10,000 Lakes Festival, announced today that 10KLF would be on official hiatus until further notice. Unfortunately, 10KLF could not grow to financial success.

Trey Anastasio and TAB will headline the inaugural The Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival, May 14-16, on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL. Phish returns to the stage this June for an extensive two-leg Summer Tour, kicking off June 11th in Chicago and wrapping with a two-night stand at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY in August. Stops along the way include a return to SPAC, Hartford, Merriweather, and Alpine Valley.
