Anyone who’s paid attention to his recent output knows that Willie Nile is currently in the midst of a creative renaissance that’s produced some of the most compelling music of his 35-year career.

Stripmall Architecture pushes all boundaries as they continue to set the tone for much of the Bay Area electronic music scene. With a long history in music and collaboration, their exceptional sound takes new form with each new release, be it a dancy single with sexual innuendos, or a dark and haunting full length inspired by despair.

Jimkata has announced dates for their Summer 2013 tour along with several festival appearances including Summer Camp, Gathering of the Vibes and Catskill Chill. The band has also released a video for Die Digital’s catchy hit electro-pop single, “Chain Store.” Coming off a Winter Tour that took the Ithaca, NY-based four-piece to 20 states and landed them a feature on the critically acclaimed music blog Daytrotter, Jimkata is currently working on a live album set for release in the Fall of 2013.

Rockabye Baby will release their lullaby versions of The White Stripes songs on April 30, the latest in their acclaimed series of baby-friendly rock favorites.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band was founded in 1961 to promote traditional New Orleans jazz in all its authenticity. Legendary players like Del McCoury Band, Steve Earle, Warren Haynes, The Edge, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Miller & Patty Griffin, Robert Plant, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Tao Seeger, all rooted in the formative jazz years, were its original stars.

Head for the Hills is pleased to announce the upcoming release of their third studio album, Blue Ruin, on July 9, 2013. They are in the midst of their Spring Tour in which they opened for both Yonder Mountain String Band and Leftover Salmon. They’ll perform two nights at The Bluebird Theater this weekend in Denver then travel up the west coast.

Punk rock...'70s country...Southern rock...jam band...and the utterly unclassifiable. Real Gone Music has once again leapfrogged all genres and eras with its June 4 line-up. Leading off are two titles from a true American original, Mason Williams, he of "Classical Gas" fame. RGM's two titles offer that famous tune along with more of Williams' ahead-of-their-time postmodern takes on pop music. Then the label vaults forward several decades and up several notches in attitude with the Surf Punks' sophomore release, Locals Only, produced with band founder Dennis Dragon's full involvement.

Hard-touring funk/rock/boogie trio The Get Right Band has released its highly anticipated debut album. Shake brings the group’s signature high-energy dance party to this amped up rock n’ roll CD. The disc features stripped down but creatively layered and produced performances of the band’s original tunes.

“The Get Right Band is a three-piece with the musical energy and power of The Police,” says legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle, whose son Chris Pyle mans the drums for the group.
