On the heels of its debut in Waynesville, Ohio the Bellwether Music Festival returns in 2019 and has unveiled its full lineup of artists for the 2-day music and camping festival taking place at Renaissance Park in southwestern Ohio on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10. The lineup includes Beach House, Cake, Cold War Kids, Guided By Voices, Twin Shadow, STRFKR, Real Estate, Pinback, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Caroline Rose, Sego, Arlie, The Brook & The Bluff, Katie Pruitt, Hailey Knox, Eldren, Quiet Hollers, Young Heirlooms, Multimagic, R. Ring, Saint Aubin, Fern Murphy, Frederick The Younger, and Souther.
MAMBY ON THE BEACH, Chicago’s only beachside summer music festival, is proud to announce the full artist lineup for its fourth annual installment! The two-day boutique festival takes place Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th, on the grassy fields and sand-swept coastline of Oakwood Beach in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood.
This year's Forecastle Festival was a success despite extreme weather. Due to heavy rains leading up to the festival, the rising Ohio River threatened the structure of stages close to the water. A windstorm on Friday shut down headliner Sam Smith's performance early and caused a two-hour delay on Saturday. Throughout the weekend, however, the extreme heat was the talk of most festivalgoers. Thankfully, the crew hosting the event was phenomenal.
It's been nearly a year since ROTHBURY's state-of-the-art "Party with a Purpose" inaugural event paved the way for the new generation of rock 'n' roll music festivals. The high-profile four-day affair tallied more than 35,000 attendees, representing 50 states. Another Friday night in Downtown Boulder, CO. It was one of the biggest crowds I'd seen lately at the Boulder Theater, the kind where once you're in, you're only getting out again at the expense of your standing room – it would be filled by someone else when you get back. I felt extremely lucky to have been there at all, since the show was sold out, had been for a week or more, and I only just got the call telling me I would be on the clock covering the show earlier in the afternoon.
