Infamous Stringdusters

The 8th Annual Festy Experience takes place October 5-8, 2017 in the Blue Ridge Bowl at Infinity Downs Farm, a 387-acre property in Arrington, Virginia (also the new home of LOCKN' Festival) at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Festy aims to give the ultimate laid back festival experience which is fun for the entire family: camping, outdoor activities, craft food and beer, daily yoga, the 22nd Annual Blue Ridge Burn (5k/10k), and stellar music!
Jamgrass stalwarts THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS will wrap up a busy 2017 with special New Year's shows in Berkeley, CA and Aspen, CO.  The band will perform two co-headlining shows at UC Berkeley with Keller Williams and Grateful Grass (12/28) and Leftover Salmon (12/29).  They'll then head to Aspen for a special "evening with" NYE performance to ring in 2018.  Doors open at 7:45 PM with an open bar (wine and beer) as well as light appetizers until the concert starts at 9:30 PM. A midnight complimentary champagne toast during the ball drop will follow the concert.

With a non-stop summer touring schedule already in progress, THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS are now announcing a new string of tour dates to run throughout the Fall. The Grammy-nominated progressive bluegrass group will be joined by friends and fellow road warriors Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams and The Travelin' McCourys, as well as Pert Near Sandstone, Midnight North, and Ryan Young & Erik Berry of Trampled by Turtles, among others.

The last day of Music on the Mesa 2017 was bright and sunny as I walked over to the Patio Stage to hear local Norteno singer/songwriter Chris Arellano. I’m embarrassed to say, though I follow Nuevo Mexico ranchera music, I hadn’t heard Chris’ work before. He and his brother Rodney, along with local pedal steel player Scott Harris, treated us with more music than his one-hour set because Western Centuries broke down and couldn’t make their time slot.

It’s peculiar to think about, but the album, as we know, it is dying off. The single already takes precedent, for those bands that are looking to reach the widest number of listens on the pop charts. The major upside to the current state of the music business is that the live concert experience has taken precedent as the best way to make it as a musician. One of the most admirable acts out there right now, gaining the adoration of loyal fans while releasing quality albums, is progressive grass sextet the Infamous Stringdusters.

As first announced last night on stage at Red Rocks, THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS will host a special Halloween two-night stand October 27 and 28 at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO.
The Festy Experience is excited to announce the second round of its music lineup for the 8th annual festival, happening October 5-8, 2017 in the Blue Ridge Bowl at Infinity Downs Farm in Arrington, Virginia. The lineup comprises a carefully curated blend of national and local roots music acts and additions include Ani DiFranco, Elephant Revival, Beats Antique, Joan Osborne, Sierra Hull, EmiSunshine, Della Mae, Shook Twins, Sarah Siskind & Sunliner, Phoebe Hunt, Maggie Koerner, Dori Freeman, Erin Lunsford, and Tara Mills.

Bluegrass virtuosos THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS are announcing the release of Laws Of Gravity: Live, a 13-track collection featuring live renditions of songs included on their acclaimed, #1 Billboard Bluegrass album Laws Of Gravity, which was released January 13 on Compass Records.

Andy Hall of The Infamous Stringdusters and Roosevelt Collier of The Lee Boys have come together on a new album, Let The Steel Play, which is set for independent release June 16, 2017. Let the Steel Play was born out of a love of slide guitar, and a friendship made through music.

The 2nd Annual Jam In The Trees is a two day, Americana music-themed event that takes place at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, NC! With bands playing on both the beautiful Outdoor Stage, and the more intimate Indoor Taproom Stage Friday and Saturday, August 25 and 26, 2017. There are unique vendors and local food trucks on-site, and of course award-winning Pisgah Brewing beer.
