Jon Stickley

The innovative and progressive Jon Stickely Trio crafts genre-defying acoustic music that is intelligent, joyful and unconventional. The Asheville, NC-based group has now teamed with Organic Records to release Scripting The Flip on April 3. The album is now available for pre-order.

Sticks N’ Thorns is the new project from Leftover Salmon banjoist Andy Thorn and flatpicking guitarist Jon Stickley of the Jon Stickley Trio. Since their teenage years together in North Carolina, Andy and Jon have played together in numerous bands including the Broke Mountain Bluegrass Band (with Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass, and Travis Book of The Infamous Stringdusters). At the 2019 Telluride Bluegrass Festival summer Broke Mountain reunited amid rabid excitement (mostly their own).

The main focus of the festival is on bringing people of all ages together to relish in a carefree community where they can leave their busy lives behind and actually have a good time.

Steely Dan and the Grateful Dead are both American musical treasures – but couldn’t be more different in their approach to music. The epitome of precision and setlist free, organic, and loose.  Studio perfectionists and the omnipotent live music band. Yet in spite of these differences, many of us love both these bands. They’re huge parts of the soundtracks of our youth and present day. What better way to celebrate both bands then enjoying a merge of the two in a night of American rock-n-roll supremacy.

Yarmony Holiday Heater, presented by YarmonyGrass Festival, brings a night of Colorado-grown Americana and rock ‘n roll to the famed Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, CO on Saturday, December 29th, 2018.
