Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Baltimore’s favorite funky foursome, plans to return to Asheville, NC for an extraterrestrial two-night New Year’s Eve run. Called “ARENA 54 NYE,” the holiday celebration will combine out-of-this-world alien elements of Area 51 with the discotheque pastiche of one of history’s most renowned nightclubs, Studio 54. The run begins on 12/30 at The Orange Peel, followed by a massive “intergalactic disco celebration” at ExploreAsheville.com Arena on 12/31.

Today, Resonance Music and Arts Festival announced its initial 2021 lineup. The event, running from September 16th-18th at Marvin’s Mountaintop in Masontown, WV, will feature multiple sets from Resonance alumni, including Tipper (x2), Lotus, Lettuce, Papadosio (x3), and Umphrey’s McGee (x2). Bringing some much-needed good news to music fans across the country, the Mighty Roots Music, LLC today announced its lineup for the inaugural Mighty Roots Music Festival to be held Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2 on historic Stovall Farms, just outside of Clarksdale, Miss., and 70 miles south of Memphis, Tenn.
