Little Feat

Two of Little Feat’s best – Sailin’ Shoes and Dixie Chicken – have been newly remastered for upcoming Deluxe Editions that will introduce unreleased live and studio recordings that capture peak Feat.

Little Feat returned to the road from the pandemic with a vengeance and a tour that Feat fans could help define by making requests.  They followed up with a tour celebrating their masterpiece, Waiting for Columbus.  Presently they’ve gone back to song lists that mixes classics and more obscure items.

Grammy-nominated acoustic guitarist extraordinaire, composer and global touring artist TOMMY EMMANUEL has today (April 6) released the video for his musically virtuosic and exhilarating cover of the 1988 Little Feat classic “Cajun Girl,” featuring Little Feat and Sam Bush.

Little Feat is the classic example of a fusion of many styles and musical genres made into something utterly distinctive.  Their brilliant musicianship transcends boundaries, uniting California rock, funk, folk, jazz, country, rockabilly, and New Orleans swamp boogie into a rich gumbo, that has been leading people in joyful dance ever since.

Summer’s here and the time is right / For dancing in the street” Martha & the Vandellas -- Or anywhere else you choose, including your neighborhood music venue, because Little Feat is planning to go out and Boogie Your Summer away with a cross-country jaunt starting on the east coast in Georgia, across the fruited plain, and all the way down the West Coast.   

Green River Festival is pleased to announce that 2023's festival will include Little Feat, The Wood Brothers, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Sierra Ferrell, Sammy Rae & The Friends, Cory Wong (Vulfpeck) and more. More bands will be announced in the coming weeks. The beloved genre-spanning festival celebrates 36 years this June and will return to the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, MA.

MerleFest, presented by Window World, will honor Doc Watson’s 100th birthday, and commemorate the festival’s 35th year in 2023. To celebrate the historic milestone, organizers intend to showcase MerleFest’s unique history, celebrate the festival’s diverse, genre-crossing catalog, and present unique artist collaborations to honor the festival’s founding folk icon.
