Primus
“Primus sucks” is the battle cry for Primus fans everywhere, and to this day, I still love seeing it bring confusion to faces throughout the crowd, outside in lines, and even on blogs, posts, and articles. This is what we say when we are stoked to see a Primus show. This was a special setting for the band as well. The Fox Theatre is small, but it is packed with one of the best sound systems in the country. It only holds 625 amped up and ready to mosh Primus die-hards.
The definitive Primus line-up - Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde, and drummer Tim Alexander - just reunited to release their first full-length studio set in nearly 20 years, 'Primus & the Chocolate Factory,' out now.

For Les Claypool, image has never been an important part of being a god amongst bass players. He is the antithesis of image-orientation in rock music. The Claypool persona is obscurity. For years his live performances muffled any sense of ordinary human interaction. Pig and Ape masks would obscure his face. All Good Music Festival made its return to Legend Valley the weekend of July 18th-21st with what has now become an annual star-studded lineup of jamband and EDM favorites. This year was no different, with acts to please any music fans taste, ranging from bluegrass darlings Yonder Mountain String Band and Leftover Salmon, rock idol Les Claypool with Primus
This year seems to have introduced more new music festivals than ever. In a sea of established fests and emerging talent, it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. BottleRock Napa, however, seems to have it all figured out. (Wine Enthusiast Magazine has already named it one of the top five music and wine festivals in the nation!)
AC Entertainment is proud to announce the line up for the third annual Moogfest, the festival of electronic and visionary music that celebrates the innovative spirit of Bob Moog. Taking place on Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the city Bob Moog called home, Moogfest 2012 continues building on its exciting reinvention of the Moogfest concept and features its most distinctly invigorating lineup to date.
Saturday Vibes. The festival is well into full swing at this point. Rowdies who enjoyed late night shows in the wee-hours of the morning such as the Gigantic Underground Conspiracy will start to peek out of the holes at around 1PM. As much as I’m sure it was a blast, I had to save my energy for my earliest start of the weekend so far for a set.
