The Town and The City Festival

Adam Ezra Group, Senseless Optimism, and more than a dozen other musicians will join the lineup for The Town And The City Festival. Produced by Porter Productions with support from the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau, the 2-day music and arts festival will feature both locally-based and national touring acts on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23 in event spaces, bars, cafes and galleries throughout downtown Lowell, Massachusetts.

Porter Productions announced that The Town And The City Festival will return in its intended form, live and in person, on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23, 2021 at venues across downtown Lowell. A limited number of two-day Early Bird Passes will be available for just $40 starting this Friday at thetownandthefestival.com.

The Town and The City Festival will be presenting a special online program for 2020, bringing more than a dozen acts together for the third year of the festival.  The eclectic lineup will feature many past festival participants as well as new artists performing Americana, Folk, Rock, Blues, Poetry and Indie music.  The program will be broadcast via ONCE Somerville’s “ONCE Virtual Venue” platform Saturday, October 24 at 8pm and will be streamed on both the ONCE Virtual Venue’s and The Town and the City’s

Porter Productions, the organizers of The Town and The City Festival, has officially postponed the 2020 festival.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and the many challenges that have arisen from it, a decision has been made to move the event from October 23 + 24, 2020 to October 22 + 23, 2021. The event will still feature many local musicians as well as national touring acts performing at venues across downtown Lowell.

Celebrating the adventurous spirit of Lowell native author Jack Kerouac, the line-up for the Second Annual The Town and The City Festival, will bring together more than 50 locally-based and national touring acts for performances throughout multiple venues in downtown Lowell, MA.  Produced by Porter Productions in association with the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, the festival will take place October 18-19, 2019.  A limited number of Early Bird Weekend Passes will go on-sale Friday, J
