To celebrate Earth Day 2020, the California Roots Music and Arts Festival is proud to announce their expansive greening initiatives and partnerships for 2020. The 11th annual festival has been rescheduled, with 100% of the lineup intact, to take place October 9-11 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center.

The California Roots Music & Arts Festival has moved their dates for this year’s event to October 9-11, 2020 at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center. The lineup will remain 99% intact and will feature the biggest names in reggae, hip hop, and roots music.
 

Monterey is home to the acclaimed California Roots Music & Arts Festival.  The Monterey County Fair & Event Center is a beautiful, oak tree-shaded outdoor historic venue heralded as the site of one of the first music festivals in the United States, the famous Monterey Pop Festival, and continues to be a fan favorite with its close proximity to tourist attractions, beaches and hotels.
 

LPT, the fast rising 10-piece orchestra out of Jacksonville, FL, are quickly becoming the ambassadors of Salsa and Afro-Cuban music in the Southeast. Their high energy and thought provoking take on Salsa Dura (Hard Salsa) is captured on their debut album Sin Parar, which is out now.

KATCHAFIRE, the award winning roots reggae band from New Zealand is coming back to the U.S. showcasing their unique sound with four shows in California. The eight piece band will kick off their tour at the One Love Cali Reggae Fest (Feb. 9th) in Long Beach, CA then to San Diego at the Music Box (Feb. 10th), and Pomona at the Glass House (Feb. 11th), and finally to San Francisco at the Great American Music Hall (Feb. 12th).

Kicking off the tour the duo, Rome & Duddy, are set to release a new single “And It Stoned Me” to give fans a little taste of what is to come!

Irby, the lead alto saxophonist for the JLCO, cleverly interprets Dante Alighieri’s epic poem from “The Divine Comedy” to create a sweeping work that takes listeners on a lyrically swinging tour of the underworld’s nine circles.
