JoJo Hermann of Widespread Panic raves about New Orleans Suspects on Mo’ Boogie:   www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEHfo-NbC54
USA Today said this of their performance from NO Jazz Fest 2013:
On Friday, outstanding early sets came from New Orleans Suspects, a five-piece consisting of former members of some of the city's top rock/funk/R&B bands...proved adept at mixing swampy rock, funk and high-energy R&B into extended jams. It was a sound that could only have bubbled up from this city, and the Suspects put their own spin on the repertoire.”

Louisiana Red Hot Records will release Ouroboros from New Orleans Suspects on October 14, 2014, the band's third release and the follow up to their 2012 live CD, Caught Live At The Maple Leaf.  Featuring 10 original songs, Ouroboros defines the band’s sound, which is one that puts their own twist on the traditions of New Orleans music--fever-inducing funk, irresistible R&B rhythms, Longhair rhumbas, dancing-in-the-street second lines, jazzy soul-drenched horns, mind-melting swamp hoodoo, and feet-don’t-fail-me-now Carnivale music-- that takes the listener on a wild ride through the city’s musical history in a brand new vehicle.  The title of the recording was carefully chosen by the band.  The Ouroboros is a powerful symbol--an ancient circular icon of a serpent eating its own tail--that symbolizes cyclicality and things that begin anew as soon as they end. This idea perfectly describes New Orleans Suspects, a band that represents a second chance, or rebirth, for its veteran members.

FRED TACKETT is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter best known for his work as a member of the legendary band LITTLE FEAT, heralded for their swampy, bluesy Americana rock.  Paul Barrere has been the guitarist for LITTLE FEAT since 1972.  Additionally, he has recorded and performed with many notable musicians including Robert Palmer, Bonnie Raitt and Carly Simon.  Tackett and Barrere tour as an acoustic duo; the pair has been joining New Orleans Suspects on tour dates for the last two years.

One of pop music’s most critically acclaimed bands, 10,000 Maniacs, will perform at The Solaris Plaza during the Vail Snow Daze on Saturday, December 20th at 5:30 P.M.  Rusted Root will perform at 7:00 P.M.  This is a FREE show!

For more information:

For over 30 years, 10,000 Maniacs have won the hearts and ears of music fans around the world selling over 10 million records. The group was founded in the fall of 1981 in Jamestown, NY, by Robert Buck, Dennis Drew, Steven Gustafson, John Lombardo and Natalie Merchant with the later addition of Jerry Augustyniak in 1983. Together with artists like R.E.M. they helped define “college rock” and the first wave of “alternative rock” bands with their pop-conscious, literate and lush aesthetic.

10,000 Maniacs first gained widespread recognition with 1987’s In My Tribe (Elektra). The record featured the hit singles “Hey Jack Kerouac,” “Like The Weather,””Don’t Talk” and “What’s The Matter Here?” The album went to #37 on the Billboard Magazine Top 200 chart and sold over 2 million copies. Rolling Stone Magazine included the album in their “One Hundred Best Albums of the Eighties.”

The band sold 3 million copies in 1992 with the landmark Our Time In Eden (Elektra), bolstered by alt-rock radio mainstays “These Are Days” and “Candy Everybody Wants

10,000 Maniacs added backing singer/violist Mary Ramsey in 1991.  She performed on the band’s biggest selling record, 1993’s MTV Unplugged (Elektra), which featured the remake of the classic, "Because the Night.”   The CD sold over 4 million copies.

Merchant left the band in 1993 with Ramsey assuming the lead vocalist position.  According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, she “brilliantly rose to the occasion.”  In fact, the band’s top charting single on Billboard was the band’s cover of the Roxy Music song “More Than This,” featuring Ramsey on lead vocals, from their 1997 album Love Among The Ruins (Geffen).

In 2004, Elektra/Asylum/Rhino Records released Campfire Songs: The Popular, Obscure and Unknown Recordings, a two CD set compilation featuring a broad array of their groundbreaking music including several unreleased tracks.

In 2013, 10,000 Maniacs released Music From The Motion Picture, their first full-length album in 13 years.  The album was completely crowd funded and produced independently by the group themselves. It was hailed as a beautiful affirmation of the band’s classic poetic lyrics and dreamy Americana blend.

Today, the band continues to stir up old memories and make new ones. 10,000 Maniacs are hard at work in the studio recording their new album, Twice Told Tales, another completely crowd-funded album through Pledgemusic.com.  A collection of traditional folk songs from the British Isles, this highly anticipated album is slated for release in 2015 and will be distributed worldwide via Cleopatra Records.

The band continues to tour incessantly in the U.S. and has made many new fans in Mexico, Germany, Japan, Portugal and Brazil with their Pledgemusic campaigns.  Their Pledgemusic campaign has also raised money for Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and The Robert Buck Memorial Scholarship fund in honor of the late guitarist who passed away in 2000.

Since their inception in Portland, Oregon, in 2003, the group has become recognized as one of the nation’s busiest and best live touring acts playing close to 200 shows a year.   MarchFourth Marching Band (M4 for short) is much more than what its name might indicate.  The performance is a visual and aural feast, with around 20 performers including approximately 8 horn players, 5 drummers, bass guitar, and 5 dancers, stilt walkers and acrobats.  It fuses Vaudeville and high cinema, with a hint of Mardi Gras, anchored by groovy electric bass, rocking guitar, Eastern European Gypsy music, funk, rock and jazz.  M4 is 100% original, including the music, costumes, choreography, and merchandise.  The Atlanta Journal Constitution said “it’s the kind of spectacle that deserves the word ‘awesome.’”

M4’s song “Gospel” from their 2009 release, Rise Up, was prominently featured in the summer of 2013 Disney hit movie, “Monsters University.”  In 2011, the band released their third studio effort, Magnificent Beast, produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, featuring the single “Shindig.” The ensemble recently completed a State Department-sponsored cultural exchange tour of China.  A documentary film of that tour is in the works for a spring of 2015 release.

M4 has performed at Bumbershoot, Voodoo Festival, Wakarusa, Telluride Jazz Fest, The Kennedy Center, EPSN’s Espy Awards, The Hollywood Bowl and so much more, winning audiences over with the kaleidoscope of visual energy that pours from the stage.

MarchFourth Marching Band will bring their breath-taking live show to Colorado!

Legendary multi-instrumentalist EDGAR WINTER will perform with his band at The Reserve Casino & Hotel in Central City on Saturday, February 28th with two shows at 7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.  Tickets for $18.00 for general admission and $45.00 for VIP seating. In addition to Winter, the band includes Doug Rappoport on guitar, Koko Powell on bass and Jason Carpenter on drums.  For more information click here or call 800-924-6646.

By the time Edgar Winter left his hometown of Beaumont, Texas in the 1960's, he was already technically proficient in every aspect of music. A child prodigy who achieved international success early on, Edgar has found an audience in every major entertainment medium--music, film and television. A prolific writer, Edgar's music encompasses many different genres, including rock, jazz, blues, and pop. From his critically acclaimed 1970 debut release, Entrance, he has demonstrated his unique style and ability to cross the genre lines and do the unexpected. His early recording of "Tobacco Road" is a powerful, emotionally devastating masterpiece that propelled him into the national spotlight. Edgar followed Entrance with two hit albums backed by his group White Trash, a group originally comprised of musicians from Texas and Louisiana. White Trash enjoyed huge success, both with the 1971 release of the studio album, Edgar Winter's White Trash, and with 1972's follow-up live gold album, Roadwork.

In late 1972 Edgar brought together Dan Hartman, Ronnie Montrose and Chuck Ruff to form The Edgar Winter Group, the legendary band that created such hits as the number one “Frankenstein” and the ever popular “Free Ride.” Released in 1973, They Only Come Out at Night peaked at the number 3 position on the Billboard Hot 200 and stayed on the charts for an impressive 80 weeks. It was certified gold in April 1973 and double platinum in November 1986. Edgar invented the keyboard body strap early in his career, an innovation that allows him the freedom to move around on stage during his multi-instrument high-energy performances. He was also the first artist to feature a synthesizer as the main instrument in a song. Frankenstein revolutionized rock and roll and opened up a whole new world of possibilities with experimentation and sound.

After They Only Come Out At Night, Edgar released Shock Treatment, featuring guitarist Rick Derringer in place of Ronnie Montrose. Later albums included Jasmine Nightdreams, The Edgar Winter Group with Rick Derringer, a live album, Together Live With Johnny Winter, Recycled, a reunion with White Trash, Standing On Rock, Mission Earth, Live In Japan, Not A Kid Anymore, The Real Deal, and Winter Blues.

With over 20 albums and numerous collaborative efforts to his credit, Edgar Winter has not been satisfied to ride the wave of popular music stardom. Major national television and radio campaigns have relied on Edgar's music to advertise their products. Edgar has also made frequent television appearances, both to promote his music, and to give his opinions on everything from Politically Incorrect to a commercial with George Hamilton for Miller Lite beer. He has appeared in the film Netherworld and the TV shows "The Cape", "Mysterious Ways", "David Letterman", and "Jimmy Kimmel".

Edgar's music can be heard in no fewer than fifteen film and television projects, including Netherworld, Air America, My Cousin Vinny, Encino Man, Son In Law, What's Love Got to do With It, Wayne's World 2, Starkid, Wag the Dog, Knockabout Guys, Duets, Radio, "The Simpsons," and "Queer as Folk."  Edgar's hauntingly beautiful song, "Dying to Live," is featured as "Runnin” (Dying To Live) in the film Tupac Resurrection, the biography on the life of rapper Tupac Shakur. Produced by Eminem, the song uses the vocal talents of the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, and Edgar Winter himself. "Runnin" is on numerous Billboard charts. It peaked at number 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles Sales chart, and the soundtrack CD was number 1 for 8 consecutive weeks.

Edgar's CD and DVD, titled, Live At The Galaxy was recorded live at the Galaxy Theatre for Classic Pictures in 2003. It features the songs, "Keep Playing That Rock and Roll", "Turn On Your Love Light", "Free Ride", "Texas", "Show Your Love", "New Orleans", "Frankenstein" and "Tobacco Road". In addition, the DVD includes a 30 Minute Documentary, "Edgar Winter: The Man and His Music".

Edgar Winter's live shows consistently receive rave reviews. His music is always evolving and he is a master at stretching his skill and imagination to produce amazing results. He continues to thrill audiences with his live performances, always remaining on the cutting edge of music and style. Edgar is now at the very top of his game, and his future looks even brighter than his past.

Justin Gage of AQUARIUM DRUNKARD has written of Hutchens, "I put his catalog right up there with the likes of Townes Van Zandt, Alejandro Escovedo and Steve Earle in terms of truly capturing the nuances of humanity, both the light and the dark, in song...[Hutchens] is a national treasure."

The 11 original songs on The Beautiful Vicious Cycle Of Life capture Hutchens’ ability to create emotive vignettes, replete with catchy lyrics and thoughtful imagery that invites the listener to join the journey of the characters he creates.  From the toe-tapping “Pretty Girls In Summer Dresses” to the Petty-esque “Epitaph Town,” the recording feels like a classic slice of Americana.

The recording was produced by Widespread Panic's bassist Dave Schools and engineered by David Barbe at Chase Park Transduction Studios in Athens.  It features a plethora of guest musicians including: Schools, Barbe, Duane Trucks (Widespread Panic), Jesse Aycock (Todd Snider), Todd Nance (Widespread Panic), William Tonks (Bloodkin, Jack Logan), Eric Carter (Bloodkin), and singer Thayer Sarrano.  It was mastered by Joe Lambert (Warren Haynes, Kanye West, The Black Crowes) at JLM Sound in Brooklyn, New York.  This project was made possible by Havin’ A Ball Productions in Houston, Texas.

David Barbe, whose production work with Drive-By Truckers, Betty LaVette and Patton Oswalt, among others, has received Grammy Award ® nominations says of the new recording, "I have made 9 or 10 albums with Danny Hutchens. This is one of my favorites."

New Orleans Suspects bring together some of the best, most highly respected players in New Orleans including:   “Mean” Willie Green on drums (Neville Bros.); Jeff Watkins on saxophone (James Brown Band, Joss Stone Band); Jake Eckert on guitar/vocals (Dirty Dozen Brass Band); CR Gruver on keyboards and vocals (Polytoxic, Outformation); and Charlie Wooten on bass (Royal Southern Brotherhood, Bonerama, Zac Brown Band).

The band is revered in New Orleans and is building a loyal audience with year-round touring.  San Diego Union Tribune called them “a rollicking blend of funk, jazz, blues, rock and vintage N’awlins R&B, designed to fill dance floors with gyrating celebrants.”

The band's 2014 release Ouroboros (Louisiana Red Hot Records) features 10 original songs that define the band’s sound, which is one that puts their own twist on the traditions of New Orleans music--fever-inducing funk, irresistible R&B rhythms, Longhair rhumbas, dancing-in-the-street second lines, jazzy soul-drenched horns, mind-melting swamp hoodoo, and feet-don’t-fail-me-now Carnivale music.  The highly-acclaimed CD received substantial airplay on 3 SiriusXM stations:  Bluesville, Jam_ON and The Loft.

The band is currently putting the finishing touches on a new recording, Kaleidoscoped, which features a plethora of special guests including members of Little Feat, Tower of Power and "The Tonight Show" band.  The CD is tentatively scheduled for release for late summer or early fall of 2016.

LIVE AT THE FILLMORE, the definitive tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, will perform two shows in Colorado.  They will perform at Quixote's True Blue, 314 13th Ave, Denver, on Friday, June 17th with Shakedown Street and Calliope Musicals.  Doors open at 8:00 P.M. Showtime is 9:00 P.M.   This is open to patrons 18 and older.  Tickets are $20.00.  For more information call or visit http://www.quixotes.com.

They will also perform at the Lake Dillon Amphitheatre in Dillon on Saturday, June 18th at 7:00 P.M. This is a FREE show. For more information visit http://www.townofdillon.com.

This Philly-based septet includes:  Lou Maresca, guitars and vocals; Barron Chandler, acoustic guitars, harmonica and vocals; Rick Baldassari, guitar and vocals; Jeff Quattro, organ, piano and vocals; Mike Mahomet, bass guitar; Dennis Barth, drums and percussion; and Don McCormick, drums and percussion.

Founding member Lou Maresca was in the audience on June 26, 1971, at the Fillmore East for the Saturday night late show, the last public concert at Fillmore East, the one the ABB band calls ‘THE SHOW,’ the one they feel is the greatest performance they ever gave. He says, “I’ve never heard them or any other band give a better performance before or since. Sadly, the next time I heard the band was a few months later at New York’s Academy of Music. It was without its leader, Duane Allman, who had died only weeks before in a motorcycle accident near his home in Macon, Georgia. His guitar was onstage on a stand and it was the most solemn rock concert I have ever attended. I had already formed ‘Skydog,’ what may have been the very first Allman Brothers tribute band earlier that year. These shows left an indelible impression on me and others in LIVE AT THE FILLMORE.”

LIVE AT THE FILLMORE is devoted to performing the music of the original Allman Brothers Band as it was in the early years before the untimely deaths of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley and the departure of Dickey Betts. The band strives to authentically bring back the performances of the original Allman Brothers Band for those who were there to hear it the first time around and for those who love the music but are too young to have seen the band in its original incarnation.   They continue to build a larger and loyal audience on the Eastern seaboard as the word of mouth buzz is generated from their blazing live performances.

New Orleans Suspects will release their third full-length studio recording, Kaleidoscoped, on September 16, 2016, on Louisiana Red Hot Records. The release date for the vinyl edition is September 30, 2016.

New Orleans Suspects brings together some of the best, most highly respected players in New Orleans including: Reggie Scanlan on bass (The Radiators, Professor Longhair Band); “Mean” Willie Green on drums (Neville Bros.); Jeff Watkins on saxophone (James Brown Band, Joss Stone Band); Jake Eckert on guitar/vocals (Dirty Dozen Brass Band); and CR Gruver on keyboards and vocals (Polytoxic, Outformation). Scanlan, who recorded the bass tracks on Kaleidoscoped, recently announced that Charlie Wooton (formerly of Royal Southern Brotherhood) would replace him in the touring entity of the band.

Kaleidoscoped is the follow up to the 2014 release Ouroboros (Louisiana Red Hot Records) that helped define the band’s sound, which is fever-inducing funk, irresistible R&B rhythms, Professor Longhair rhumbas, and jazzy soul-drenched horns.  The highly-acclaimed CD received substantial airplay on 3 SiriusXM stations:  Bluesville, Jam_ON and The Loft.  The new recording is again produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Suspects’ Jake Eckert and Jeff Watkins at Eckert’s own Rhythm Shack Studio in New Orleans.  The 8 tracks include a plethora of special guests including:  Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat; Golden Commanche “Big Chief” Juan Pardo; “Big Ike” Kinchen; Lee Thornburg; Ian Smith; and Paulie Cerra.

Kaleidoscoped takes a variegated look at roots music, funk and traditional New Orleans music through a colorfully distorted lens, creating a sound some radio programmers are already calling "psychedelic funk."  The opening tracks, "Let's Get it Started" and "Cocaine Jane" feature Jeff Watkins and Grammy Award ® winner Jake Eckert at the peak of their powers of studio wizardry.  On these tracks, they utilize Tower of Power horn veterans as well as a Leslie speaker cabinet and newer, electronic effects to great advantage.  The album sequencing devolves into twisted looks at such traditional Louisiana genres as Cajun swamp pop ("You Got the Fire" and "Creole Hannah"), Mardi Gras Indian Funk ("Round Up Dem Suspects," with call and response led by Pardo), plus a trip through a pastiche of Southern rock, Dr. John-style R&B and traditional jazz.  A slight outlier of a track, "Dixie Highway" was written by Paul Barrere for Little Feat; he and Fred Tackett add guitar/vocals and mandolin, respectively, for a New Orleans feel the listener might imagine Little Feat having searched for, but never located.  The cover art by Craig Young of a prismatic eye is apropos given the many genres of music embraced by the band on Kaleidoscoped.

Track listing:

  1. Get It Started
  2. Cocaine Jane
  3. Dixie Highway
  4. You Got The Fire
  5. Round Up Dem Suspects

  7. Whatcha Gonna Do?
  8. Neighborhood Strut

Their youthful blend of Irish traditional melodies with dynamic 3 part vocal harmonies, virtuosic musical ability and onstage wit has captured and captivated audiences around the world and has earned them much critical acclaim.  They were named “New Band of the Year” in 2014 by the Irish Music Association.

Their 2015 sophomore release The Return of the Giant Sock Monsters from Outer Space continued the rave reviews generated with their 2013 debut, with the Irish American News saying, “This is a great album by three extremely talented young artists.  It has been a while since we have enjoyed a new group as much as this.”

In 2016, the band released Without A Paddle to coincide with their 2016 U.S.summer/fall tour, which commenced late July and through mid-September and included performances at some of the biggest Celtic and Irish festivals in the U.S. and a smattering of club shows.

The group has been embraced in the United States, praised for their modern traditional style and energetic approach to music.  Boston Irish Reporter said, "It’s not hard to discern why they’ve become so popular among audiences, in the U.S. and elsewhere: tip-top musical ability by all three – Coyne on guitar, Shane on accordion, and Fiachra on fiddle and banjo – and polished, sweet-voiced singing to match, plus a stage presence that rides on showmanship, humor, and, above all, an ability to connect with audiences."

We Banjo 3 released their fourth album, String Theory, in the summer of 2016 to coincide with their U.S. summer and fall tours.  The CD received rave reviews, with Elmore Magazine saying, "It’s as if the Punch Brothers, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and the Chieftains all got together for a battle of the bands but decided to pool their resources instead. The future of World Music has arrived." The 12 tracks, half of them instrumentals, seamlessly blend traditional and original songs-some new and some ancient-redefining the boundaries of tradition and in the process, transcending genre and showcasing the technical talent of these players.  From the deliciously infectious "Happiness," to the pyrotechnical mastery of "Kentucky Grind" and the powerful emotive "This is Home," String Theory is an exploration of the timeless interaction of Irish and American music; Ireland entwined with the Appalachian Hills.

The crossover appeal of We Banjo 3 to fans of many genres of music and the intensity of the their live show have made them a staple headlining act at some of the biggest Irish and music festivals around the world.  Barry Stapleton of the Milwaukee Irish Fest comments, "We Banjo 3 hit the sweet spot of where Irish, Celtic, bluegrass and Americana meet.  A WB3 show is always 'in the moment' and each show brings a surprise or two...they are musically creative, spontaneous and fun, and always engage their audience."

With simply too many awards and accolades to list, the band continues to draw attention from music journalists as well as from their peers. 2016 found the band performing for President Barack Obama and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and their 4th album, String Theory, going to # 1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart. Galway Advertiser named them “Galway Band Of The Year 2016.”  In December of 2017, Songlines, a highly regarded world music magazine based in the U.K., included the band’s 2014 release, Gather The Good, in their list of “Top 10 Essential Irish Albums”.

We Banjo 3’s “Light In The Western Sky” U.S. tour in 2017 took the band from coast to coast and was dedicated to spreading the word about suicide prevention and mental health issues.  The band wrote and performed a song, “Don’t Let Me Down”, dedicated to this, and spoke to audiences about the importance of acknowledging those who suffer.  Proceeds from the sales of a special t-shirt raised funds for Pieta House West in Galway.  Subsequently, the band was awarded the “Musician’s Humanitarian Award” by the Irish American News.

The focus of the “Earth & Sky” tour is for the band to bring as much joy and happiness to their audiences in the turbulent times in which we live.  Martin Howley comments, “Every human, regardless of status, creed or color, lives between the earth & sky. More than ever we need some joy and harmony, so hopefully we're coming to a venue near you and we can spread a little banjo happiness! And we're delighted to welcome Scottish super group Talisk to the tour.”

We Banjo 3, an award-winning band from Galway, Ireland, will release their fourth studio recording, Haven, on July 27, 2018, in conjunction with their upcoming U.S. and Canada tours.

Featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, percussion and vocals, We Banjo 3’s sound is an infectious blend of traditional Irish Music with Americana, bluegrass, and a hint of pop, affectionately described as “Celtgrass.”

We Banjo 3 comprises two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill and Martin & David Howley, who are among the most celebrated and distinguished musicians to come out of Ireland in recent years.  Martin Howley is a 7-time “All Ireland” banjo and mandolin champion. Enda Scahill, an author on Irish banjo techniques, holds 4 “All Ireland” titles.  Multi-instrumentalist Fergal Scahill is one of the most acclaimed fiddlers in Irish music, with a growing international reputation, and “All Ireland” titles on fiddle and bodhran.  David Howley, with “All-Ireland” titles on guitar and banjo, is the group's vocalist and guitarist known for his showmanship and deeply emotive vocals.  Both Howleys now call Nashville home.

We Banjo 3 has developed a loyal following in the U.S., Ireland and other parts of the world, winning over audiences at major music and Irish festivals and prestigious venues with their joyous live show. In fact, in 2016, We Banjo 3 was selected to perform at the annual “Friends of Ireland” luncheon attended by House Speaker Paul Ryan, President Barack Obama and Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.  When the band reached out to their loyal fanbase with a crowd-funding campaign via Pledge Music to fund Haven, the members were pleasantly surprised to reach their goal amount in less than 36 hours!

Their crossover of many genres of music is beautifully reflected on Haven, which is the fifth and most fully realized release from the group. Haven is the follow up to String Theory, which went to # 1 on Billboard’s World Music Chart in August of 2016, practically an unheard feat for a self-released album. The 11 original compositions on Haven take the listener an exploratory, honest and uplifting musical journey. Martin Howley explains, “This album is a mix of songs and instrumental that is informed by a core idea of haven - the idea that music provides a safe space in this increasingly maddening world. We’ve been told repeatedly that people who come to our shows feel we provide an escape and we love the idea of hope and peace being a message, so that became our central theme.”

Haven was produced by We Banjo 3 and co-produced with Frank Marchand (Bob Mould, Gaelic Storm) and Grammy-winning guitarist, Bryan Sutton (Ricky Skaggs, Dixie Chicks, Béla Fleck).  Marchand recorded and mixed the record at Waterford Digital Studios in Millersville, MD. It was mastered by Eric Boulanger (Green Day, Neil Young, Selena Gomez) at The Bakery in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to Sutton on guitar, additional guest players include: Scott Mulvahill, Mark Fain and Trevor Hutchinson, upright bass; Jodie Bremaneson, bass guitar; Jeff Taylor, piano, organ; Erin Snedecor, cello; Jon Lampley, trumpet; Dan White, saxophone; Chris Ott, trombone; and Grammy-nominated Sierra Hull, vocals.

Haven will be distributed via Amped, a division of Alliance Entertainment. The digital distribution partner is Kobalt. It is available now for pre-order via Pledge Music.

Rolling right out of 2019's highly successful "Roots To Rise" tour and the eponymous chart topping live record, Roots To Rise Live, We Banjo 3’s "Rise & Shine" winter/spring 2020 U.S. tour  kicked off in New York City on January 10th and will hit, in total, 30 markets in the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, East Coast and Midwest before concluding in St. Louis at the end of March.

Debuting in the U.S. in 2012, We Banjo 3 has since emerged as fast-rising touring darlings in the country that two of the members now call home. The Galway, Ireland, and Nashville-based quartet––comprised of two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill and Martin & David Howley––continually push musical boundaries while maintaining an un-wavering devotion to the essential audience experience. WB3 seamlessly converge the shared and varied traditions of Americana, Bluegrass, and Celtic music with pop-sensible songcraft to create a truly unique and gratifying signature sound. Brilliantly commanded instruments––banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and percussion––effortlessly elevate lead singer David Howley’s propulsive voice.  Live on stage, their songs carry the listener along until, at the perfect moment, the band crescendos into catchy choruses with pitch perfect harmonies. We Banjo 3 deliver their music with such palpable rapport, stunning precision, and infectious energy, it’s impossible to pigeonhole what kind of listener might suddenly consider themselves a WB3 fan.  With recent stunning performances at such broad ranging festivals Merlefest, BottleRock, Summercamp, ROMP, Wintergrass and others, enthusiasts of almost every genre of music are taking notice. The band’s fall 2019 tour hit 13 U.S. markets over 18 days, with most shows sold out in advance.

We Banjo 3 released their 6th CD, Roots To Rise Live, in July of 2019 in conjunction of the band’s summer and fall 2019 U.S. tours. Recorded at The Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the CD features a mix of original material, traditional compositions, select cover songs, and two previously unreleased tunes.  The CD debuted at the beginning of August at # 1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Chart spending 4 weeks in the peak position.  The band’s 2018 studio recording, Haven, spent 3 weeks at # 1 on that chart, marking the first time an Irish band held the # 1 position on this chart.  When Haven re-entered the chart at # 5 in August 2019, joining Roots To Rise Live at the #1 position, WB3 made history again as the only Irish band to hold two top-5 chart positions simultaneously.  Of Roots To Rise Live, Songlines Magazine reviewed “…this album by Celtgrass pioneers We Banjo 3 scorches its way through a rollercoaster set colliding their native Galway heritage with liberal helpings of blistering bluegrass and a telling nod to pop music.”

We Banjo 3 is committed to giving back to the community, and raising awareness around the issue of mental health is a cause that is dear to their hearts.  Toward this effort, We Banjo 3 donate $2.00 for every t-shirt and CD sold on their U.S. tours to organizations that work to provide mental health resources.  In 2019, WB3 raised $7500.00 for Mental Health America, the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the mental health of all Americans.  For 2020, We Banjo 3 is pleased to partner with start-up not-for-profit Backline. Backline works to support the mental health of music industry professionals and their families by providing streamlined access to mental health and wellness services and educational resources specific to the work and lifestyle of the music industry community.
