Guitarist and singer songwriter, Ashley Sherlock is pleased to announce, “Dear Elizabeth,” the second single taken from his upcoming debut album “Just A Name.” The single, released Wednesday 17 May, is available to stream from https://orcd.co/alxvor1.

The music video for the single can be viewed on YouTube at https://youtu.be/HrdvsET_XOI.

“Dear Elizabeth is probably one of our favourite songs off the record,” says Ashley. “It’s a song about realising your mistakes when sometimes it’s too late.”

All roads lead to Manchester. Northern Britain’s cultural powerhouse spits out a great band every ten years. Get ready for Ashley Sherlock’s highly anticipated debut album “Just A Name” released by Ruf Records on Friday 16 June.

Pre-order the album from https://orcd.co/jr5yo10.

On the move, on the make, armed with a beat-up Stelfox electric guitar, a hot knife of a voice and a pocketful of hooks, the acclaimed Mancunian singer-songwriter, and his telepathic blues-rock power trio, have already packed-out iconic venues and pricked up influential ears.

“The band started about four years ago,” reflects Ashley. “That’s when I found the dynamic rhythm section of Charlie Rachael Kay on bass and Danny Rigg on drums.”

Continues Ashley, “I’d just come home from a trip to Nashville and was booked to play an event. I was persuaded by the promoter to get a band together for that one show – and they just stuck around! Now, we’re one hundred per cent a family. I love those guys to bits.”

Ashley is no stranger to the UK live circuit. In the past 12 months’ he’s supported the likes of Kris Barras Band, The Quireboys and Laurence Jones.

Ashley has released two acclaimed EPs with 2019’s self-titled “Ashley Sherlock,” followed by 2021’s “If You’re Listening.” In 2022, he was nominated for UK Blues Federation’s Young Blues Artist of the Year. He’s even had airplay on the New Rock Show on Planet Rock, and beyond.

Louder Than War praised Sherlock by saying, “Ashley’s music will put a big stupid grin on your face,” while Get Ready to Rock professed, “his music will leave you wanting more.”

Now signed to Ruf Records, Ashley’s debut album “Just A Name,” hopes that you won’t forget his. “The writing and sense of melody has grown on this record and it’s an honest representation of our live sound,” says Ashley.

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and Gibson brand ambassador Jared James Nichols announces his next single “Easy Come, Easy Go” with an accompanying live video. It is the second single from his critically acclaimed eponymous third studio album Jared James Nichols, originally released in January 2023.

Watch the “Easy Come, Easy Go” live performance music video HERE.

“Easy Come, Easy Go” is an electrifying, foot stomping, rock and roll animal,” says Jared. “From the first note, this song is unrelenting with fuzzed out guitars and a heavy groove. I have always loved the phrase easy come, easy go meaning not to dwell or live in the past. The message is to take life as it comes and live in the moment.”

Released earlier in the year by Black Hill Records, Jared James Nichols features every side of the Nashville-based multi-talent and the various genres he grew up listening to, whether it was grunge or blues; all of which has influenced his authentic sound.

Jared James Nichols is available on all digital music platforms, CD, and vinyl HERE.

“I made a record to serve as the menu for the live show,” reflects Jared. “There is an element of excitement and danger. It’s my version of rock ‘n’ roll with a little more humanity. The album is a day in the life with the ups and downs, but it musically rings true to who I am as an artist.”

Jared James Nichols was produced, engineered, and mixed by Eddie Spear (Zach Bryan, Slash, Rival Sons) and recorded live at Blackbird Studios and Sienna Studios. The recording sessions occurred at a pivotal moment for Nichols, who almost never performed again as he was sidelined months earlier with a broken arm. After surgery, which left him with a plate and sixteen screws in his right arm, he pushed himself with diligence and determination to regain use of his arm and his storied guitar proficiency.

The album kicks into high gear with the bluesy wallop of “My Delusion.” Elsewhere on the 12-track collection is the Black Sabbath-inspired “Hallelujah,” where a flurry of drums gives way to a thick and heavy battering ram of a blues riff only to crash into a rickety bass line and atomic shredding. Jared bares his soul on the emotionally charged “Out Of Time,” a heartfelt and tearful tribute to his late father.

Jared first emerged onto the scene in 2015 with his debut Old Glory & The Wild Revival and followed that up with Black Magic in 2018, which yielded the fan favorite “Honey Forgive Me.” More recently, he issued the Shadow Dancer EP (2021) and collaborated earlier this year with both Maggie Rose and Joe Bonamassa for revised versions of his song “Threw Me To The Wolves.” Gibson also welcomed Nichols as an official ambassador, plotting the release of several signature Jared James Nichols guitars.

Nichols has racked up millions of streams and critical acclaim and, in between show-stopping solo shows, has performed alongside icons such as Slash, Billy Gibbons, and Zakk Wylde. Guitar World magazine has attested, “If you’ve never witnessed Jared James Nichols onstage, let us say right now: you’re missing out, big time.”

Renowned rock & soul guitarist John Oates (Hall & Oates), Sir Brian May guitar prodigy Arielle (pictured above), and Monkees star Micky Dolenz are the latest musical icons to join legendary rock and roll guitarist James Burton for a special one-night-only concert at the iconic London Palladium on Sunday 4 June; ‘James Burton & Friends UK – For One Night Only’.

Tickets are available from LWTheatres.co.uk and Ticketmaster.co.uk.

They will join previously announced celebrated musicians: Sir Brian May, Van Morrison, Albert Lee and Jeff ‘Skunk’ Baxter. Together with further performers also announced including Jason Scheff, Steve Wariner, Tommy Emmanuel, Tommy Sims, Caroline Jones, and Essex County.

Instantly known to Elvis Presley fans around the world and one of the most recognised musicians to emerge during North America’s burgeoning rock and roll, rockabilly and country music eras, James Burton’s name has since been attached to such legendary artists as George Harrison, Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, John Denver, Emmylou Harris, and Merle Haggard, and on thousands of recordings. His innovative use of banjo strings on his guitar in the 1950s to bend and stretch notes, coupled with his unique ‘chicken pickin’ playing style revolutionised rock, country and pop guitar and continues to inspire and influence artists across all generations to this day.

Burton holds a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, inducted by longtime fan and friend Keith Richards in 2001, and has also been recognised by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. It should come as little surprise then that Burton’s London appearance on 4 June has drawn the participation of many of his fellow musician and artist admirers from around the world.

This very special and historic show ‘James Burton & Friends UK,’ will take its audience on a unique musical experience across more than six decades of exceptional musical history. In addition to the line-up of names announced so far will be Musical Director Leo Green, along with the Leo Green Orchestra - a fantastic ensemble of topflight musicians and singers, forming the supporting cast for this unique event. The evening will be hosted by Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews.

James Burton said: "We are thrilled to announce another host of phenomenal musicians for our unique event at The London Palladium. Don't miss out on this evening of incredible musical entertainment that will help our Foundation continue its mission of providing music education to those who need it most. We're grateful to all of the artists who are generously donating their time and talent to support our cause."

Proceeds from the show will go to The James Burton Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports music education for those in need through guitar donations and music instructions. Over the years, the Foundation has given thousands of guitars to schools, children’s and veterans’ hospitals, and other organisations. The success of this event will allow the Foundation to expand its music education program, facilities, and partnerships.

James Burton explains: “I've always wanted to do my own show, which - in 2005, we actually came up with the idea, invite all my friends that I worked with, and all my guitar player friends and singers as well. I wanted to do something for the kids in music, and I got to thinking I would like to donate guitars to the kids in school - you know, get music back in schools. But the government took it out years ago. I still get letters from teachers and young kids thanking me for this program that we do.”

Psychedelic Montreal four-piece rock and roll band, The Damn Truth, are pleased to announce the Wednesday May 31st release of their new single and accompanying music video, “Lonely.”  The video is available to watch on YouTube HERE.

“The song Lonely started taking shape in our touring van as we began a cross Canada tour," says TDT’s lead singer, Lee-La Baum. “Three days into that journey, our van went up in flames with our acoustic instruments, personal belongings and our hopes to continue our long-awaited tour.”

Continues Lee-la, “We put together a GoFundMe campaign so that we could rent wheels that would take us and our trailer of stage gear home. 24 hours later there was an incredible amount of money in our account. It was enough to buy a new van, clothes, and rent the gear to continue our tour. It was the beginning of our love affair with the incredible hearts and souls that make up our rock n roll community.”

“After the tour, we started recording demos for the songs that would later become Now or Nowhere. ‘Lonely’ was one of the first songs we sent to Bob Rock, but it was originally called ‘Needs Help.’ It was just an acapella vocal line because, after the van fire, which was the way we were playing it on tour. It was an ode to our fans that saved us from being lonely and stranded on the highway.”

“Bob fell in love with the song right away and told us not worry; that Tom should just try to play a guitar lick along with the vocal melody and the rest would all fall into place in the studio. That’s exactly what happened. Bob walked into the live room and said, ‘The whole song is there, just play it.’ With his masterful, skilful ear and delicate direction, within two hours the song was recorded. Done.”

“Lonely” dovetails The Damn Truth’s summer concerts in the UK throughout July. The band will play a series of headline concerts and will also play Steelhouse Festival on Saturday July 29th. Tickets for the band’s July headline concerts are available from TheGigcartel.com

The Cold Stares will support The Damn Truth at London O2 Islington Academy 2 on July 21st. Empyre will support the band on all other dates, except Sheffield Greystones on June 30th, where support will come from Zac and the New Men and Tessio.

The Damn Truth are Lee-La Baum (vocals, guitar), Tom Shemer (guitar), PY Letellier (bass) and Dave Traina (drums).

They play London, O2 Islington Academy (July 21), Shoreham Ropetackle (July 22), Blackpool, Waterloo (July 23), Leicester Musician (July 25), Buckley Tivoli (July 27), Leek Foxlowe Arts (July 28), Steelhouse Festival (July 29), Sheffield Greystones (July 30), and Milton Keynes, The  Stables (August 1).

In 2021, The Damn Truth released their critically acclaimed album “Now or Nowhere.” Produced by the legendary Grammy Award-winning Bob Rock, the album is available from www.thedamntruth.com.

No stranger to UK radio, The Damn Truth have had three singles from the “Now Or Nowhere” album playlisted on Planet Rock. These include – “This Is Who We Are Now,” “Tomorrow,” and “Only Love.” “This Is Who We Are Now” was played on BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show with Johnnie Walker. On several occasions, the band won Tracks of the Week on Classic Rock’s Louder Sound.

The band have been championed by the British music press with extensive magazine coverage in Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, Blues Matters, Guitarist, Powerplay, Guitar Techniques, Record Collector, Fireworks, Blues in Britain, Hard Rock Hell, MNPR, and R’N’R Magazine.

“The real magic of The Damn Truth is best experienced uncut, in our full set,” says TDT’s lead singer and guitarist, Lee-La Baum. “Our connection with our audiences is the most important thing, so don’t miss our intimate headline shows in July!”

“The Damn Truth are a fresh revivalism of the psyche music scene from the mid-60s,” says Jeff Laufer, editor Rock Bands of LA. “Critics and fans praise their regeneration of the hard rock sound and values.”  Continues Jeff, “Bob Rock found a spirit within the band that he hadn’t experienced for many years. “He saw something special… an artist with burning talent that needed the right direction to break wide open… like lightning in a bottle.”

Six tracks on the new album “Now or Nowhere” were produced by legendary Grammy Award winning Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Cult, The Offspring) at Bryan Adams’ recording studio “The Warehouse” in Vancouver.

“Now or Nowhere” chronicles the band as they navigate life, love, and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways. Due to the fact that they were unable to finish the album with Bob because of COVID-19 restrictions, the band recorded the remaining three songs with help from Juno Award-winning producer Jean Massicotte who mixed “Everything Fades”; and the rest of the mixing was done by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton), Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine), and Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries).

The Damn Truth have toured Europe and North America and opened tours for Z.Z. Top (they partied with Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), The Sheepdogs, Styx, King King, and Rival Sons, and were also featured on Joe Bonamassa’s 2021 Keeping The Blues Alive Stream-A-Thon.

They sold out the legendary Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles and the Corona Theatre in their hometown of Montreal. One of their music videos was featured on the official Janis Joplin Facebook page. It's a culmination of a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears.

The new single dovetails Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast’s upcoming September 2023 UK Tour where they will be supporting Robert  Jon & The Wreck (see tour dates listed below).

Krisko delivers a skilled and assertive vocal performance that is dripping with swagger and rock power that keeps you moving from start to end. The song tells the story of a woman who finds her partner has been hiding another relationship across town, then calls the operator to connect with her partner’s other victim to join forces for revenge.

Krisko has been stunning audiences across America and Europe touring relentlessly with her own brand of roots rock filled with soaring vocals, powerful grooves, emotional lyrics and undeniable songwriting.

The band consists of Caitlin Krisko (Lead Vocals), Aaron Austin (Guitar, Background Vocals), Michael W. Davis (Drums), William Seymour (Bass, Background Vocals) and Tyler Housholder (Percussion).

Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast has shared the bill with artists such as Mavis Staples, Marcus King, Blackberry Smoke, The Avett Brothers and Greta Van Fleet.

Last fall, the band released “Haunted by You” which was placed at the top of Spotify’s “Blues Ballads” playlist, garnering critical acclaim for its soulful blues and Krisko’s captivating performance.

The band has worked with producers such as Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper, Foreigner, Barenaked Ladies), and Jim Scott (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Johnny Cash, Grace Potter) while also releasing 2020’s album “Lost My Sight” working hand in hand with legendary session giant; previous member of Tedeschi Trucks Band, and David Bowie’s Blackstar “Tim Lefebvre” and current TTB drummer Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell.

The album is available to pre-order on Double CD, vinyl and digital HERE.

The first single You Talk Dirty will be accompanied with a music video and will be released on Wednesday 12th July. The single will be available to stream and download from HERE.

Some may argue that music is born in the studio, but it comes to life and evolves when performed live on stage. With a live album, there is no safety net. You get one shot at capturing those perfect moments and preserving them forever.

With the pandemic now firmly in our rear-view mirror Erja Lyytinen and her band have been touring relentlessly. With the high-flying Finn in top form, the artist decided to capture the magic of their live performances on their new concert album, Diamonds on the Road - Live 2023.

Speaking about the new live album, Lyytinen said: “When playing live, you’ve got one moment to get it right, and then the moment is gone. There is no correcting stuff later. It is very raw and exciting to play and sing at the same time. The adrenaline runs through your body, and everything around you affects your performance.”

Internationally acclaimed guitarist and singer songwriter Erja Lyytinen will release Crosstown Traffic; the second single taken from her highly anticipated fourth live album Diamonds On The Road – Live 2023.

The new single, accompanied with a live music video, will be released on Tuesday 15 August. The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE. The music video is available to watch on YouTube HERE.

Released worldwide by Tuohi Records on Friday 6th October 2023, the new live album is available to pre-order on double CD, vinyl, and digital from the official Erja Lyytinen shop HERE.

Crosstown Traffic was originally recorded by Jimi Hendrix for his 1968 album Electric Ladyland.

“There is only one Hendrix, there´s no way you can replicate Jimi, and that’s why I wanted to perform my own take on this classic song,” says Erja. “We brought the song to the 21st century by adding some new elements. Our version is slightly faster than Jimi´s and I´m also playing the song in open C tuning with a slide and that gives the song a whole new approach.”

Continues Erja, “The song is a lot of fun to play live, it´s energetic and I just love the lyrics! There are plenty of metaphors and sexual references, all cleverly delivered by describing a traffic jam, which alludes to how a relationship has come to its end. I´m using a kazoo in the ending riff of the song, as Hendrix did use a comb and cellophane to create the sound of traffic. The result is a fun and cool live track with some interesting turnouts in the arrangement!”

The release marks Erja Lyytinen’s fourth live album, and follows on from Songs from the Road, Live in London, and Lockdown Live. The new album is the first concert release from the gifted guitarist to capture the post-Covid live experience.

“Diamonds on the Road was recorded towards the end of our Spring tour in March 2023,” says Erja. “We played ten shows in a row, of which eight were sold out. The band had a good flow going, and the songs were rolling nicely.”

Following their February 2023 UK tour supporting Robert Jon & The Wreck, and the July 26th release of their recent critically acclaimed single “Sweet Maria”, rising Canadian southern soul, roots rock band Bywater Call release a new single “For All We Know” on Wednesday, September 6th.

The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE.

“For All We Know” precedes Bywater Call’s upcoming September and October UK and European tour dates.  The band tour the UK from October 3-13th. Tickets for all concerts are available from www.bywatercall.com (tour dates listed below).

“For All We Know” is a rootsy, Americana inspired rock song that’s about listening to your inner voice and taking chances on your hopes and dreams, no matter what obstacles, internal and external, may lie in the way.  Through lyrics, vocals and form, the song progresses from stripped down, delicate and questioning, to full, joyous, and celebratory.

“For All We Know” takes the listener on a journey, opening with beautiful acoustic guitar picking from Dave Barnes and a soft, exposed vocal from Meghan Parnell, building to a strong, full band, driving finale, representing the courage, strength and satisfaction in self-knowledge and self-actualization.

“For All We Know” was filmed and recorded at friend, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and engineer Kevin Howley’s barn studio in the country of Ontario, Canada. Bass (Mike Meusel), drums (Bruce McCarthy), horns (Julian Nalli, sax and Stephen Dyte, trumpet) and keys (John Kervin) were captured live-off-the-floor. Overdubs including background vocals from Claire Davis and Joanna Mohammed (Aphrose) were captured at drummer Bruce McCarthy’s home studio the Beat Farm, where he also acted as mixing engineer.

Video team Lightning House Media out of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, joined the band for the recording session, capturing an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a unique recording process, followed by a live performance as the sun was setting.

“For All We Know” is Bywater Call’s second single following their highly anticipated sophomore album “Remain” released in September 2022, which is available on all streaming platforms and for purchase on CD and vinyl.

Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes are the driving force behind Bywater Call, a powerhouse seven-piece Southern soul, roots rock band from Toronto, Canada.

Formed in 2017, the band has received multiple Independent Blues and Maple Blues Award nominations including Entertainer of the Year and Best Female Vocalist for the 2023 Awards Season. They have toured extensively in Europe over the last few years, including in May and June of 2022, featuring a mainstage appearance at the Netherlands’ premiere blues festival Moulin Blues.  Their shows were praised in Dutch and German media, with references to Meghan as one of the best female voices in blues and roots today.

In August 2023, the band participated in Joe Bonamassa’s third Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean Cruise alongside headliners Blackberry Smoke, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, including a performance at the All-Star Jam on the mainstage with Bonamassa himself.

Bywater Call have commanded festival stages from Belgium to Germany in Europe, Florida to Kentucky and Tennessee in the USA, and Toronto to Quebec City in Canada. In May of 2023, they opened for the Canadian Award-winning band White Horse at the inaugural edition of the Smokestack Music Festival in Hamilton, Ontario.

Bywater Call continues to tour across the US throughout the remainder of 2023 and will return to tour Europe, including their first headline tour of the UK from October 3-13th.

Fans of Bywater Call can look forward to their second single of 2023 “For All We Know” available on all platforms from July 26th.  To stay updated and be a part of Bywater Call’s rapidly growing fanbase visit www.bywatercall.com  for more details.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed album “Death Wish Blues,” Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton are pleased to announce the release of their new single “Lover On The Side.” The single is accompanied by an official music video which can be viewed HERE.

The single and music video are released ahead of the duo’s “Death Wish Blues” October 2023 UK Tour. The highly anticipated UK tour teams two wild talents together onstage, an uncommon and fiery pairing of two bandleader guitar heroes trading lead vocal and guitar duties.

The UK tour kicks off at The Fire Station in Sunderland on October 19th and finishes on October 30th with a sold-out show at London’s legendary 100 Club. Tickets for all concerts are available from alttickets, Gigantic, Ticketmaster, samanthafish.com and jessedayton.com.

Special guests are Canadian roots rockers The Commoners. Fans of classic rock will be familiar with their singles “Fill My Cup,” "Find A Better Way,” and “Too Much” that received heavy airplay on Planet Rock.

Samantha and Jesse will be doing an HMV instore signing event that will take place at in Birmingham at on Saturday October 28th.

On the UK tour, Samantha and Jesse will perform songs from their new album “Death Wish Blues” including the new single “Lover On The Side,” and the radio smash “Deathwish.” Samantha will also perform songs from her 2021 album “Faster” featuring the singles “Twisted Ambition”, “All Ice, No Whiskey”, “Better Be Lonely” and the title track “Faster”. Samantha will also perform songs from her back catalogue including the popular “Bulletproof” from her 2019 album, “Kill Or Be Kind.”

After launching her recording career in 2009, Samantha Fish established herself as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. The charismatic singer-guitarist-songwriter has earned a reputation as a rising guitar hero and powerful live performer, while releasing a series of acclaimed albums that have shown her restless creative spirit consistently pushing her in new, exciting, and often unexpected musical directions.

The New York Times called Fish, "An impressive blues guitarist who sings with sweet power," and "One of the genre's most promising young talents." Her hometown paper, the Kansas City Star wrote: “Samantha Fish has kicked down the door of the patriarchal blues club and displays more imagination and creativity than some blues veterans exhibit over the course of their careers."

Samantha believes her musical future is an open road. "I'm never going be a traditional blues artist, because that's not who I am," she says. "But it's all the Blues for me. When Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf came out, what they were doing didn't sound like anything that had been done in Blues before. You've got to keep that kind of fire and spirit. I'm never going to do Muddy Waters better than Muddy Waters, so I try to be who I am, and in doing that, I find my best voice.”

Equally steeped in Texas/Louisiana blues, old-school country and punk-rock, guitarist Jesse Dayton has long been a well-kept secret of the music world, a road warrior touring alongside acts as diverse as George Strait, Rob Zombie, Social Distortion, the Supersuckers, and John Doe and a sought after session player and sideman hiding in plain sight as a guitarist for Waylon Jennings, Duff McKagan, Ryan Bingham, Glenn Danzig, and L.A. punk pioneers X and boasting an extraordinary background that includes recording with the likes of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, working with Rob Zombie on the soundtracks for his iconic horror films, and releasing a series of acclaimed solo albums.

Inducted in 2022 into the Austin Music Hall of Fame, Dayton’s life story reads like a “who's who” of American music. After being discovered at a Beaumont dive bar by Clifford Antone, owner of iconic Austin’s Home of the Blues, Dayton’s trio began packing clubs and theatres across Houston, Dallas, and Austin, Texas. His first solo record—featuring great luminaries like Doug Sahm, Flaco Jimenez, and Johnny Gimble—hit #1 on the Americana charts, and then he was off to the races, touring the world with punk legends Social Distortion, The Supersuckers, and X, and helping with arrangements and guitar on The Supersuckers’ biggest selling record, “Must’ve Been High.”

Dion releases his newest song, “An American Hero” today. With a career expanding more than eight decades, he continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world. Joining forces with country music star Carlene Carter, daughter of June Carter. This highly anticipated single release is accompanied by the official music video featuring Dion and Carlene, as well as scenes of ordinary Americans in pursuit of their lives and dreams.

Listen to “An American Hero” HERE.

Watch the music video featuring Dion and Carlene Carter NOW.

Dion, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame almost 35 years ago by the late Lou Reed, commented, “It’s a song about the ordinary person being a hero and championing the cause of the people around them. You don’t have to look at cable news or online and don’t look to politicians to save you. Look into your own heart and be a hero to the ten people you affect in your life the most. Patriotism really isn’t about politics; we’re all Americans, so values and character are what matter most. Stop looking elsewhere for the answers to our problems; look into your own heart.

Dion expressed great enduring admiration for his duet partner and the legacy she represents. “She’s a member of the Carter Family who were there when country music began. I’ve always loved this girl’s voice. She’s so beautiful and sings with such heart; she’s so authentic. I just love the presence she brings to the song.”

Carlene Carter commented, “I was flattered and delighted when Dion got in touch and asked me to join him on this song. It’s about self-reliance and unity and doing what you can for those you cherish most. I can’t help but characterize it as a heroic effort and I’m proud to have been part of it.”

“An American Hero,” has been released through Keeping The Blues Alive Records. The song, written by Dion and Mike Aquilina, comes in advance of an entirely new album from the rock/blues/gospel great who has maintained a significant presence in American music and has influenced countless entertainers over the course of his career.

The last few years have been especially productive for Dion DiMucci, who during the height of the pandemic lockdown in 2020 released the album Blues With Friends that included collaborations with a wide range of artists including Joe Bonamassa, Brian Setzer, the late Jeff Beck, John Hammond, Van Morrison, Joe Louis Walker, Jimmy Vivino, Billy Gibbons, Sonny Landreth, Paul Simon, Samantha Fish, Rory Block as well as Patti Scialfa and Bruce Springsteen. The album’s liner notes were written by Bob Dylan, spending nine weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Blues Album chart. “Song For Sam Cooke (Here In America),” Dion’s duet with Paul Simon, was named “Greatest of the Great 2020 Songs” by American Songwriter’s Paul Zollo.

In 2021 Dion released Stomping Ground which included liner notes by The Who’s Pete Townshend and 14 tracks featuring incredible performers (a few repeat collaborators from Blues With Friends) including Billy Gibbons, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Vivino, Joe Bonamassa, and Patti Scialfa, as well as newcomers Boz Scaggs, Eric Clapton, G.E. Smith, Keb’ Mo’, Marcia Ball, Mark Knopfler, Peter Frampton and Rickie Lee Jones.

Last year The Wanderer, a musical based on Dion’s life, debuted at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ, and is expected to arrive on Broadway within the next 18 months. Directed by Kenneth Ferrone and based on Charles Messina’s book, the initial run was the subject of critical acclaim with Broadway World calling it “a moving, no-holds-barred new musical about the glow of the spotlight, the shadow of addiction, and the triumph of the human spirit against all odds, set to the iconic sound of an incomparable era in American music.” The New York Times review noted the show “succeeds on sheer sonic strength,” with reviewer Juan A. Ramírez adding, “I was continuously charmed by this throwback-y musical and its angel-voiced ensemble.”

Rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter Philip Sayce is excited to announce the release of his new single, "Lady Love Divine," on November 10, 2023. This track is the second single off his highly anticipated new album, The Wolves are Coming (Atomic Gemini / Forty Below Records), and will be released on Friday, February 23, 2024.

Stream "Lady Love Divine" HERE.  Stream on YouTube HERE.  Pre-order The Wolves Are Coming HERE.

"Lady Love Divine" explores the light in contrast to the darkness on the new album with an uplifting, foot-stomping, funk groove that delivers hooks in all the right places. Philip states, "It's a funky, upbeat song about that feeling you get when you instantly fall in love with someone forever. Finding the courage to talk to this person and win their love."

"The song represents a bridge — a connection between despair and hope — that invites broken spirits to be transformed and healed." The Wolves Are Coming, Philip's new album, is more powerful, unique, and bold than anything he has written or recorded. "These songs and stories came into focus during my darkest times," says Philip.

Produced by Philip at Station House Studio in Los Angeles, and engineered by GRAMMY Award-winner Mark Rains (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings, Tanya Tucker), mixed by Brian Moncarz (Fantastic Negrito, Alice Cooper, Ian Moore), and mastered by Brian Lucey (Lizzo, The Black Keys, Michael Bublé), features drummers Aaron Sterling (John Mayer, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift) and Michael Leasure, (The Moody Blues, Melissa Etheridge), and was co-written with GRAMMY award winner and multi-platinum singer-songwriter Richard Marx, with Philip providing the guitars, bass, and lead vocals.

ABOUT PHILIP SAYCE
Born in Wales and raised in Toronto, Canada, Philip’s love of the guitar started early. As a teen, Philip was plucked from the Toronto blues scene by the legendary Jeff Healey, who took the young guitarist under his wing and showed him the ropes, touring the world and recording as a member of Healey’s band. From 2004 - 2009, Philip toured internationally and recorded with Melissa Etheridge, including performances at The Oscars and The Grammys. He then kick-started his solo career establishing a rabid fan base in Europe and beyond. During this period, Sayce recorded his first solo album, Peace Machine. Buoyed by guitar fans’ response to the album, Philip returned his attention to his full-time solo artist career, and subsequent releases garnered high praise in both the blues, rock, and guitar worlds. To date, he has released six studio albums and the Live EP, Scorched Earth: Volume 1.

British Blues rock guitar prodigy Joanne Shaw Taylor is pleased to announce that British blues rock guitarist and singer songwriter Connor Selby will be her special guest on her February 2024 UK Tour, including the Amsterdam concert on February 14.

Joanne’s UK tour kicks off on Saturday 17 February 2024 at Manchester Royal Northern College of Music, takes in London’s O2 Indigo on Thursday 22 February, and finishes on Thursday 29 February at the Palace Theatre in Southend-on-Sea.

Connor was voted “Young Artist of the Year” at the UK Blues Awards for three consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022). He opened for the Who in July 2019 at Wembley Stadium, and played Hyde Park, London, during the summer of 2022, with Pearl Jam, Stereophonics and Johnny Marr.

Joanne will perform songs from her recent critically acclaimed albums "Nobody’s Fool," and The Blues Album which topped Billboard Magazine’s Official Blues Album Chart.  She will also perform new songs from her forthcoming album including “Sweet ‘Lil Lies,” “Black Magic,” and her latest single "Wild Love."

The Blues Album was voted #1 Most Played Blues Album of 2021 by the Independent Blues Broadcaster’s Association. Joanne will also dig deep into her rich back catalogue where she will hand-pick songs from her albums Reckless Heart, Wild, The Dirty Truth, Almost Always Never, Diamonds in the Dirt, and White Sugar.

Her latest single “Wild Love,” is crafted alongside Kevin Shirley, the iconic producer, at the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville. The song is brimming with bluesy undertones and an infectious energy.

The track showcases Joanne's signature guitar licks against a backdrop of dynamic drums and bass. "Wild Love" is a departure into a darker, more intimate territory, capturing the essence of a moody blues night while retaining the vigour that her fans have come to adore.

"I love this track,” says Joanne. “I wanted it to be dark and sexy. I think, with the boys’ help, we came up with something really cool that the band in the studio really made come to life.”

The past few years have been some of the most productive over the course of Dion’s storied career that spans multiple eras in music, culture and consciousness. Today’s release “Soul Force” featuring powerhouse Susan Tedeschi, underscores his renewed and ongoing creative drive. This is the second single released from Dion’s upcoming new album of all original penned tracks, Girl Friends, showcasing powerful female collaborators. The first single “An American Hero” with Carlene Carter dropped back in October and paved the way for this new collection of songs. Girl Friends, slated for March 8, is his third consecutive album through blues rock titan Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping The Blues Alive Records.

Dion explains, “I’ve noticed that men play a different tune when there are women in the room — and it’s a different kind of jam when women are in the mix. I don’t know why this is so, but it is. Maybe we men, at some primitive level, are competing for their attention. As I said, I don’t know why or how. I do know it makes better music and we’re all better for it.” He concludes with an encapsulation of vision for Girl Friends,

“I wanted the best music possible. So, I wrote up a batch of duets for me and my ‘girl friends,’ the women who inhabit my headphones — the women who make me turn up the volume when they drop into my radio. I invited them to join me, one by one, and here they are, wailing on the guitar and into the microphone. You’ll hear the feminine genius in every groove of this record, and you won’t forget any of it”.

Girl Friends finds Dion keeping musical company with a line-up of stellar female artists who are heard on the album’s 12 original tracks, 11 of which were composed by Dion and Mike Aquilina with one written by Dion and the late Scott Kempner (The Dictators, The Del Lords). Joining Tedeschi and Carter are Rory Block, Shemekia Copeland, Debbie Davis, Randi Fishenfeld, Sue Foley, Danielle Nicole, Christine Ohlman, Maggie Rose, Joanne Shaw Taylor and Valerie Tyson. The album was produced by Wayne Hood and Dion, who were also producing partners on Blues With Friends and Stomping Ground.

Due to popular demand, and following her successful 2023 UK tour, internationally acclaimed guitarist, and singer songwriter Erja Lyytinen will embark on her "Diamonds On The Road" 10-date UK Tour in April 2024. Tickets are available from https://erjalyytinen.com/tour.

The tour is named after current live album Diamonds On The Road, that was originally released by Tuohi Records on Friday 6th October 2023. The album is available on Double CD, vinyl and digital HERE.

“After our long-awaited visit to UK in November 2023, I realised that I have really missed touring in this country,” says Erja. “We have some hardcore fans in the UK, real blues rock enthusiasts who certainly show their appreciation when you’re on stage and that feels good!”

Continues Erja, “I can’t wait to come back in April 2024 for a full tour, consisting of altogether ten shows. I will be flying straight from Australia to London. I’m looking forward to enjoying England in the springtime.”

Watch the live music video performance of “Väinämöinen Tuonelassa (Live).“

Some may argue that music is born in the studio, but it comes to life and evolves when performed live on stage. With a live album, there is no safety net. You get one shot at capturing those perfect moments and preserving them forever. Erja Lyytinen’s live album Diamonds On The Road is evident of this.

“When playing live, you’ve got one moment to get it right, and then the moment is gone,” says Erja. “There is no correcting stuff later. It is very raw and exciting to play and sing at the same time. The adrenaline runs through your body, and everything around you affects your performance.

Diamonds On The Road marks Erja Lyytinen’s fourth live album, and follows on from Songs from the Road, Live in London, and Lockdown Live. The new album is the first concert release from the gifted guitarist to capture the post-Covid live experience. Diamonds On The Road is available to purchase HERE.

“Diamonds on the Road was recorded towards the end of our Spring tour in March 2023,” says Erja. “We played ten shows in a row, of which eight were sold out. The band had a good flow going, and the songs were rolling nicely.”

Erja attributes some of those changes to her equipment and repertoire of trusty axes. “Since my last live recording, my live guitar arsenal has grown quite a bit. I have five to six guitars, from Strats and Teles to custom-made guitars, on stage with me. It´s quite cool to dig out the different characteristics of each guitar. I´m using my road-worn Fender Custom Shop guitar on the songs “Black Ocean” and “Never Really Had You.” I had the guitar fine-tuned right before the tour and added it to my live arsenal. I feel as though it has been a sin to keep this Strat as my sofa guitar for years!”

The songs featured on Diamonds On The Road highlight the old, the new, the borrowed and the blues. “For the set list of the live album, we had a mixture of my favourite old songs and then a selection of the songs from my latest studio album, Waiting for The Daylight,” explains Erja. “We also recorded a Jimi Hendrix classic, “Crosstown Traffic.” I made my own version of it by playing the song using slide! It is so cool to play the song, and, on the recording, it is our first encore.”

Diamonds on The Road showcases Erja and the band doing what they do best, playing concerts for their fans. "I have always loved performing live, but now, I enjoy playing even more and saying this on behalf of my band; I think they do, too. Performing live is stronger, more relaxed, and empowering. I´m grateful to be a guitarist and singer who is giving her best for the audience each night. It is the best thing you can do with your pants on," concludes Erja.

Invocation is the title of the highly anticipated new 11-track album from slide guitar virtuoso Troy Redfern. The album, released by RED7 Records on Friday 17th May 2024, is now available in limited edition coloured vinyl, black vinyl, plus two different CD cover artwork designs. All formats are available to pre-order from www.troyredfern.com.

The fourth single from the album “The Calling” is released Friday 1 March and is available on Spotify HERE.

Watch the music video for “The Calling” on YouTube at https://youtu.be/z7BEuF8vkOI.

The IRSC code for the single is UKHDU1600077.

Says Troy, “‘I’ve always wanted to write a slow motion, epic kind of a tune. The Calling was a song that was born out of that desire. This song is about escaping the technological net we all live in, and to get out into the wilderness to reset and get perspective on what’s important in life.”

Troy has proved time and time again that his cup of inspiration is not only full, but runneth over, writing and release albums at an unprecedented pace and judging by the strength of “The Calling” and the three previous singles “The Strange,” “Getaway” and “The Fever,” the forthcoming album Invocation, promises to be his best yet.

Over the course of last two albums The Fire Cosmic (2021) and Wings of Salvation (2022) Troy found his true voice stylistically in terms of writing and playing, but with Invocation he created a collection of outstanding new songs that carves out his own identity as to who he really is an artist.

Troy head to the west Wales coast with his trusty 1929 National Triolian resonator guitar for a week of solitude in a remote Sheppard’s hut to sketch the initial song ideas for the new album.

“It was important for me to clear my mind of all distractions so I could really focus on what I wanted to write on this album and the direction I wanted to take it in,” says Troy.

With Invocation Troy explores fresh musical territory, from the heavy, bone crushing slide riffs and big sing along choruses on “Van Helsing” and “Getaway” to the evocative, wind-swept western landscapes of “The Native” and “Blind Me.” After three albums in three years Troy continues to expand his musical horizons and keep his creative fire burning.

Following last year’s Death Wish Blues UK Tour with Jesse Dayton, celebrated American blues rock guitarist Samantha Fish returns to the UK in October 2024 for her 10-date Bulletproof Headline Tour.

Planet Rock’s 48-hour ticket pre-sale starts 10am GMT on Wednesday 13 March via planetrock.com.

Tickets go on general sale 10am GMT on Friday 15th March via www.alttickets.com, www.gigantic.com, www.ticketmaster.co.uk (Edinburgh show), & www.samanthafish.com.

“I am thrilled to tour the UK in October,” says Samantha. UK audiences are incredible.”

Samantha was recently Grammy-nominated for “Contemporary Blues Album of the Year” for her collaboration with Jesse Dayton on Death Wish Blues. This month, Total Guitar Magazine voted Samantha as one of the “Top 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists” of all-time.

Samantha will play a selection of songs from her entire catalogue of albums including Wild Heart, Chills & Fever, Belle of the West, Death Wish Blues, Faster, and Kill Or Be Kind (the latter features the fan favourite, Bulletproof).

After launching her recording career in 2009, Samantha established herself as a rising star in the contemporary blues world. The charismatic singer-guitarist-songwriter has earned a reputation as a guitar hero and a powerful live performer, while releasing a series of acclaimed albums that have shown her restless creative spirit consistently pushing her in new, exciting, and often unexpected musical directions.

In a continued celebration of his historic performance at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, Joe Bonamassa announces the release of his latest single “The Last Matador Of Bayonne” from the acclaimed live album and film Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra, out May 17th via J&R Adventures. This emotionally charged song offers listeners a vivid narrative, blending Bonamassa’s signature guitar prowess with the grandeur of a full orchestra, encapsulating the essence of bravery and the contemplative spirit of a matador facing his fate. “The Last Matador Of Bayonne” was arranged by legendary composer David Campbell and also features a captivating trumpet solo by Rashawn Ross, longtime Dave Matthews Band member.

The song was hand-picked from Joe’s 2011 Studio Album “Dust Bowl” to be on this orchestra set. "There’s a Bayonne in France, which is where this song got its title,” Bonamassa shares. “I was doing amphitheater dates in Europe back in 2010 with ZZ Top, and in a lot of these cities, when they say 'Amphitheater,' they’re not kidding. They’re talking about Roman-style bullrings. Over the years, I think they phased out the killing of the bulls. The matadors are there more for show these days. But during one of these gigs, I was standing in one of the areas where the matadors were kept, and I saw this little door. So, I opened it and I saw this little prayer booth, where I guess a matador would sit and pray before going out to face a bull. I started to think, Who was the last guy to do this? It was a great concept for a song - again, to think that you may die doing what you do for a living."

Following the album's lead single, the riveting live rendition of Bobby “Blue” Bland’s classic “Twenty-Four Hour Blues,” “The Last Matador Of Bayonne” continues to showcase Bonamassa's ability to convey deep, resonant stories through his music. This release further emphasizes the dynamic range and emotional depth present throughout Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra, offering fans a new layer of storytelling woven with blues and rock.

Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra showcases Bonamassa’s virtuosic blend of blues and rock but also elevates fan-favourite tracks with grandiose orchestral arrangements by some of Hollywood's finest – David Campbell, Trevor Rabin, and Jeff Bova. “Very few gigs represent my journey in music more than the Hollywood Bowl. I moved to Los Angeles in 2003 in search of opportunity and cheaper rent than New York City.  My first gig at The Mint was attended by 5 of my friends and that's all. We have played The Greek Theatre many times since, but the Bowl has always been a dream. The orchestra and the sheer scale of the event and venue is something I will never forget. I am so grateful that we filmed this special event in my life,” reminisces Bonamassa.

Available in CD/DVD, CD/BR, 2 LP Vinyl, and digital formats, the release captures the essence of Bonamassa’s career, highlighting his exceptional talent and the impactful fusion of blues, rock, and orchestral music.

Following the momentum from his U.S. Spring Tour and the ninth annual voyage of his KEEPING THE BLUES ALIVE AT SEA cruise, Bonamassa is set to captivate audiences across Europe with a series of performances, paving the way for his eagerly awaited "Blues Deluxe Tour" in the U.S. this summer. Beginning August 2nd in Selbyville, DE, and culminating in an unforgettable two-night performance in Hampton Beach, NH, on August 30th and 31st, the tour celebrates Bonamassa's seminal albums Blues Deluxe and its chart-topping successor, Blues Deluxe Vol. 2. This 21-city tour will showcase an electrifying mix of Bonamassa's classics and deep tracks live for the first time, alongside a band of world-class musicians. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.jbonamassa.com.

Bonamassa's impact on the blues-rock genre is immeasurable. Guitar World has hailed him as "the world's biggest blues guitarist," a testament to his skill, influence, and role in bringing blues-rock to the forefront of the music scene. With a career spanning over three decades, Bonamassa has consistently captivated audiences around the globe with his dynamic live performances and musical ingenuity.

Critically acclaimed Atlanta-based American guitarist Eddie 9V is pleased to announce the release of his new single “Saratoga” on Friday 26th April 2024. Released by Ruf Records, the single is available on all streaming platforms via https://save-it.cc/ruf-records/saratoga.

“Saratoga” is the first single taken from Eddie’s new studio album released later this year.

“Saratoga was written under a perfect western landscape,” says Eddie. “We had an off day on the road and I was sitting on a random Air B&B porch picking a riff I had recently come up with. I was writing all these little lyrics while looking out to a huge mule deer directly in front of me eating grass and carrots that I was throwing to them."

Continues Eddie, “Saratoga has a real, almost desert/disco vibe to it. When it came time to record, we flew to Denver. I wanted to record the forthcoming album in the Rocky Mountains. You definitely get an outdoorsy feel in this song.”

From Atlanta, Georgia, Eddie 9V has made a name for himself in the blues scene in America’s deep south. Wowing all types of audiences with his searing Freddie King-style approach to guitar and his original retro/soul songs. He’s hailed as one of the most dynamic and highly entertaining guitarists and singer songwriters on the music circuit right now. Rock and Blues Muse describes his music as “fresh and life-affirming," while Classic Rock described Eddie’s music as, “the most instinctive blues you'll hear all year."

The new single dovetails Eddie’s May 2024 UK tour which takes in dates at The Grace, London (Monday May 13), Komedia, Brighton (Tuesday May 14), The Bodega, Nottingham (Wednesday May 15), and The Louisiana, Bristol (Thursday May 16).

Eddie’s special guest is British guitar trio The Zac Schulze Gang. Tickets are available from www.alttickets.com/eddie-9v-tickets and www.eddie9volt.com/tour.

Formed in Gillingham, Kent, The Zac Schulze Gang  features electrifying guitarist and vocalist Zac Schulze. The gang channel their love for 20th century artists such as Dr Feelgood and Rory Gallagher to create blisteringly up-beat blues rock music. Regular fixtures on the festival circuit in the UK, Ireland, & Europe, they also played Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival in LA. They are also nominated for five 2024 UK Blues Awards.
