Emerging from a successful year which saw Gem & Jam embrace the full festival experience with a move from Downtown Tucson to a venue that offered a desert setting with expanded amenities including camping, the twelfth annual event released the first phase of its lineup.

Inside the Double JJ ranch for two consecutive weekends, a magical Electric Forest of paradise awaits within this daily grind of purgatory we walk. Over 40,000 humans come together for the love of music and art and put the real world on hold for a weekend or two if you are one of the lucky ones that can put the real world on hold for two weeks. The spirit of unity abounds as every heart vibrates with trust that this is going to be a good weekend.

North Coast Music Festival (NCMF) is thrilled to reveal a brand-new stage and more artist's added to this year's lineup! The stage will feature a variety of Chicago favorites throughout the weekend with each day dedicated to a specific genre. 

Horning’s Hideout in beautifully forested North Plains, Oregon kept its tradition this year, hosting the 16th Annual Northwest String Summit on July 13th through the 16th. The long-time festival boasts an eclectic gathering with several event stages, a wide variety of string-instrument bands and features camping, vendor booths, a children’s village, yoga and mindfulness sessions and more.

Every August, I look forward to driving up through forested northern New Mexico into God’s Country, southern Colorado to cover Rhythms on the Rio. This festival with a big heart has been going strong for eleven years and I’ve covered six of those. It’s always like coming back for a family reunion.

The Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin celebrated its 50th anniversary this summer. The 11-day festival has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest music festival. The festival features over a dozen stages large and small of entertainment along the lakefront Henry Maier Festival Park. This years festival saw attendance rise to over 830,000 people over the 11-day run.

Rock and Roll Summer: A Group Concert Photography Pop-Up Exhibit Featuring Artists performing at Lollapalooza. Over thirty frames in a one-time collection not seen since publication. Featuring the work of Chicago photographers Barry Brecheisen, Andy Argyrakis, Lyle A. Waisman and Curt Baran.

This exhibit features captured moments of Nine Inch Nails, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Chance the Rapper, Jane’s Addiction, Soundgarden, The Weeknd, Snoop Dogg, Black Sabbath, Paul McCartney, Flaming Lips, Radiohead and many more.

The 17th-annual Midpoint Music Festival (MPMF) today announced additional artists that will be part of its two-day event happening Saturday and Sunday, September 23-24, 2017 in downtown Cincinnati at the Taft Theatre and Cincinnati Masonic Center. A final wave of artists, including local and regional acts, will be announced in the coming weeks.

With 31 years of crowd-pleasing experience under their belts, the Green River Festival continues to deliver a summer music experience that goes “above and beyond” its hundreds of summer festival competitors. Sometimes I think I am so full of shit. Ask my wife, and it’s probably safe to drop sometimes I think. But coming to Grey Fox Bluegrass Music Festival, a festival I come to every year, trying to think of a new way to make you, fair reader, understand that it is unlike anything that you have or ever will experience? I am full of shit to think I can do this. But thankfully, this year mother nature is co-writing this review, and she’s writing in the blurry ink of rain.
