Blues Control released Valley Tangents nearly a year ago, during the summer of our end-of-times, 2012. Magnetic, Terence Blanchard’s stunning new album is set for release May 28 on Blue Note Records. The album features ten original songs written by Blanchard or a member of his quintet: saxophonist Brice Winston, pianist Fabian Almazon, bassist Joshua Crumbly, and drummer Kendrick Scott.

Award-winning singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley will give fans the first taste of his next album with the release of its lead single, “Bourbon In Kentucky,” to radio stations today with an official add date of June 10.“Bourbon In Kentucky” explores the dark internal emotions of loss and disconnection told through an intense vocal performance by Bentley and haunting backing vocalsfrom Kacey Musgraves.  The singers’ emotions are matched sonically with scraping guitar tones and a rhythm section based in tension and mystery.

The second-born child of independent music pioneer and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Frank Zappa first took the stage with his famous father at the tender age of 12. He was entranced by the elder Zappa’s “control over the music [that] almost seemed like a magic trick.” By the mid-1980s, he was contributing his own riffs to Frank’s albums such as Them or Us and finding an artistic identity of his own as an actor, MTV VJ, and Grammy award-winning musician.

On Friday, May 31st, The Green performs at Mishawaka Amphitheatre. The sextet will release their new singles "Take Me On" and "Something About It" on May 21st. Both songs will appear on the band's third album, scheduled for release by Easy Star Records on August 20th. The Green's last album, Ways & Means, spent four-weeks at #1 on Billboard's Reggae Chart.
