Flash Mountain Flood

Acclaimed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nate Todd is thrilled to present his latest single, “Empty City,” along with its accompanying music video, marking his directorial debut. The single, featuring a compelling blend of dark, electric piano melodies and synth-laced grooves, is now available for streaming and download on his Bandcamp page and Facebook.

Colorado’s progressive rock sextet Eminence Ensemble will host the inaugural Elevation Music Festival on August 12th-13th. Taking place at the scenic Alma Town Park in Alma, CO, Elevation Music Festival will be the highest music festival in the world, sitting at over 10,500 feet.

Colorado-based progressive rock sextet Eminence Ensemble will head south to the country’s oldest and highest capital city in Santa Fe, NM for the inaugural Camp Stoney Days. Presented and partnered with local Colorado rockers Flash Mountain Flood, the two-day, two-night experience will take place among the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on July 29th-30th for an intimate weekend of live performances by Southwest-based soulful jam bands.

Derek Dames Ohl, bass player and vocalist from Flash Mountain Flood and a well-known solo artist has delivered a special tune for the holiday season, accompanied by a music video full of nostalgia. “Blue Skies It’s Christmas Time” is a soft, sincere song that truly pulls at the heartstrings while giving a beautiful nod to Ohl’s home state of Colorado. 

Larry Keel is described by music critics and reviewers as the most powerful, innovative and all-out exhilarating acoustic flatpicking guitarist performing today. Keel has absorbed the best lessons from his Bluegrass family upbringing, both sides deeply steeped in the rich mountain music culture and heritage of Southwest Virginia. From there, he has always integrated that solid musical grounding and natural-born talent with his own incomparable approach to playing amplified, acoustic guitar and composing original music.

With Dead and Company playing CU’s Folsom Field this weekend we wanted to give out-of-town folks some ideas what else to do in Boulder before and after the show(s).

Produced by Chris Wright of Violet Studios, “Speak of Heaven” marks a turning point for a band known for live shows and energetic improvisation. By focusing the band on their vocal harmonies, Wright has brought the band to another level of playing.
