Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame Celebrates America’s 250th with New Exhibit

The Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame is debuting a new exhibit full of items that have shaped American music over the past 250 years. Music America: Iconic Objects from America’s Music History will open February 12, 2026, at the Boch Center Wang Theatre. Featuring items from artists ranging from Public Enemy to Elvis Presley, this extraordinary exhibition offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate America’s rich musical legacy during the nation’s 250th anniversary. The new exhibit is curated by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music. Public tours are available. Tickets will be available at FolkAmericanaRootsHallofFame.org

Music America tells the story of our country through the power of its music, featuring over 100 legendary artifacts spanning every genre and era – from stage outfits worn by Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, Boston’s Tom Scholz, and Elvis to Chuck D’s handwritten “Fight the Power” lyrics. The exhibit also includes items from artists such as Bo Diddley, Ella Fitzgerald, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, and more. Visitors will experience music’s impact on American identity through personal memorabilia from iconic artists.

The exhibition also features an interactive “Song Bar,” offering an immersive experience where guests can hear the music that has defined generations.

“There isn’t a better time to check out this exhibit,” said Casey Soward, President and CEO of the Boch Center. “As the nation reflects on the past 250 years, these items help guests trace the line of American music connecting blues, jazz, rock, pop, punk, hip-hop, and more from throughout our shared history.”
