Big Shrimp Announces “It’s As Shrimple As That Tour 2026”

Rising Progressive Jam Quartet Expands into Music Halls, Colorado Return & Phish Summer After-Parties

Big Shrimp is hitting the road this spring with the announcement of their nationwide “It’s As Shrimple As That Tour 2026.” The 30+ date run marks the band’s biggest headlining push yet. Presented by Sage Entertainment, the tour showcases the band’s continued evolution from club favorites to emerging music hall headliners, highlighted by marquee plays at Richmond Music Hall, The Aggie Theatre (Fort Collins), Cervantes’ Other Side (Denver), Garcia’s (Chicago), and Mercury Lounge (New York City).

The tour supports a wave of new original music — including the singles “Rex” and “Alcaworkholic” — with more studio tracks forthcoming from the band’s debut full-length album, currently in production.

In addition to their headline run, Big Shrimp will host five Phish Summer Tour pre- and after-parties across the East Coast and beyond, further cementing their growing presence within the national jam community.

About Big Shrimp

Formed in 2024, Big Shrimp has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting young acts in progressive improvisational rock. Blending dance-driven funk, exploratory rock, and fearless live improvisation, the quartet — Jared Sage Cowen (guitar/vocals), Max Perrotti (bass/vocals), Daniel Cohen (keys/vocals), and Henry Thomas (drums/vocals) — has built a reputation for high-octane performances and adventurous songwriting.

Their growing national buzz includes placement on Spotify’s Modern Jam Band editorial playlist; recognition on Grateful Web’s Top 12 Upcoming Jam Bands to Watch in 2026; festival appearances including Northlands Festival alongside Umphrey’s McGee, moe., and Corey Wong; support slots for Spafford, Eggy, Big Something, and Magic Beans; and a sold-out Phish MSG After Party in December 2025.

Late 2025 saw the release of The Prawno Tapes, Vol. 3, the band’s third live album, documenting highlights from an expansive national run. That momentum now carries into 2026 as the band transitions into larger rooms and new markets.

Band Quote

“We’re insanely energized about this tour and the new music we’re creating,” says guitarist Jared Sage Cowen. “Only a year and a half into this journey, the chemistry we’re finding on stage each night feels truly special. We’re deep into making our debut album, and the way crowds have been giving that energy right back to us has pushed everything to another level. This run feels like a big step forward.”
