Early Birds Pick the Strings: Save $25 Before Grey Fox Goes Pre-Gate

Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival fans have until 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday, June 2 to secure discounted admission before prices roll over to the Pre-Gate tier. Buying now saves $25 on full-festival passes and $10 on day tickets. Seniors (60+) can also shave $10 off gate rates, and—as always—kids 12 and under get in free with a ticketed adult. Tickets are available now on the festival website.

Thursday, July 17

Host band Dry Branch Fire Squad and Artist-in-Residence Woody Platt headline a lineup that spans the 50-year jubilee of Special Consensus, the centennial salute “Hazel at 100” led by Della Mae with Laurie Lewis and Alice Gerrard, fleet-fingered phenom Lindsay Lou, globe-trotting ambassadors Henhouse Prowlers, and many more. Workshops, family programs, and late-night jams pepper the day.

Friday, July 18

Bluegrass patriarch Del McCoury, vocal super-trio I’m With Her, and a special set from Woody Platt & The Bluegrass Gentlemen top a bill that also features California up-and-comers AJ Lee & Blue Summit, trans-Atlantic pickers JigJam, and genre-twisting duo Larry & Joe. Kids’ activities and instrument clinics run throughout the grounds.

Saturday, July 19

A banner day starring festival alumnus Sam Bush, soulful groove-makers The California Honeydrops, mandolin maven Sierra Hull, and an all-star tribute “A Woodstock Celebration in Memory of Happy Traum” with Cindy Cashdollar, Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, Darol Anger, and more. Fiddler Casey Driessen curates his high-wire “Red Shoe Stringjam,” while Cajun legends Steve Riley & The Mamou Playboys keep dancers twirling past sundown.

Sunday, July 20 – Creekside Farewell

Ron Thomason’s traditional Sunday Morning Gospel opens the day, followed by the participatory All-Festival Band Farewell led by North Country Public Radio’s Barb Heller. Pickers and singers of every stripe are welcome—lyrics and keys appear in the program book and the festival’s forthcoming mobile app.
