The Sullivan Sisters Release “Good Time To Say Goodbye” Video

The Sullivan Sisters have released the music video for “Good Time To Say Goodbye,” their latest single on Dark Shadow Recording.

The song, written by Soraya Sullivan and Jon Weisberger, is a fast breakup story packed with attitude and defiance. With blazing instrumental work and tight harmonies, it tells the story of a woman who finally walks away from a faithless, no-good man.

Co-writer Jon Weisberger reminisces:

“I was already familiar with the Sullivan Sisters when Soraya reached out to me about writing together last fall, and I was happy to take the opportunity. If I remember right, she already had the title in mind—and if I don’t, we must have gotten to it pretty quickly, because it didn’t take long for us to finish. I especially like the way that the ‘hook’ stretches out the word ‘time,’ which puts it in classic bluegrass singing territory, and Soraya, Luciya and the band did a great job bringing our song to life.”

Catch The Sullivan Sisters as an official showcase artist at Folk Alliance in Chicago this coming January. In October, they will be appearing at IBMA World of Bluegrass in Chattanooga, where Luciya is nominated for Momentum Instrumentalist of the Year.

ABOUT THE SULLIVAN SISTERS

The Sullivan Sisters are a rising bluegrass band known for their striking instrumental skills, sibling harmonies, and distinctive blend of contemporary originals and traditional repertoire.

Sisters Soraya (guitar, vocals) and Luciya (banjo, vocals) began playing bluegrass as children in North Carolina, carrying that passion with them when their family relocated to Chicago. They have gained national recognition through performances at MerleFest, Planet Bluegrass FallGrass, and the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum, and have appeared at numerous Chicago-area venues, including Thalia Hall and multiple sold-out shows headlining at Evanston SPACE.

The Sullivan Sisters were selected as an Official Showcase Artist at IBMA 2025, and their debut EP, Carolina Bluebird, was released in August 2025. The Sullivan Sisters are proud to feature new members Sammy Mougin on bass, Gabe Zinser on mandolin, and Finn McGuinness on fiddle.

The band is currently working on its debut album on Dark Shadow Recording.
