Following their debut single and music video, “Devil’s Got a Hold on You,” The Sullivan Sisters have released “Cold Front,” a feisty bluegrass song that weaves freezing weather into a story of heartbreak.
Lead singer and guitarist Soraya Sullivan co-wrote the song with songwriting luminary Tim Stafford.
“I’ve enjoyed writing with Soraya Sullivan,” says Stafford. “She’s a smart, talented young lady with a natural ear for a good lyric and melody. This was a fun one based on an idea I’ve had for a long time—I’m just glad it came out for The Sullivan Sisters! The future is bright.”
Soraya recalls, “This song was so much fun to record because our producer, Stephen Mougin, ‘pushed us’ to improvise in the studio. That was my favorite moment. Instead of working up solos, we created a jam section that everyone improvised over, which brought a new and interesting sound to the song.”
The single arrives just a couple of days after banjo player and vocalist Luciya Sullivan received a nomination for the 2026 IBMA Momentum Award for Instrumentalist of the Year.
