Multi Grammy Award winning funk legend Bootsy Collins today, on his birthday, announced a forthcoming collaborative compilation album project, Funk Not Fight, associated with Syncr and The Bootsy Collins Foundation.

The Ogden Theatre is a 1600 capacity venue in the Capitol Hill district of Denver and although its surroundings leave much to be desired, the place still brings out the magic for those who enter its historic doors. Originally opened in 1917, it got it start as did many theaters of that era as a movie house and a locale for vaudeville performances. Cinema was its main draw for decades until its almost unfortunate end in the early 90’s, when it was slotted to be demolished.

Greensky Bluegrass have announced their Winter Tour 2023.  The 16-date tour will kick off on January 12 in Buffalo, NY, and will travel throughout the East Coast and Midwest including the band's debut performances at the historic Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, NJ, and the Stanley Theater in Utica, NY.  The winter tour will wrap up with two nights in Chicago on February 3 and 4.

Award-winning Canadian duo Whitehorse—Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet—were originally planning on recording an EP of 70s country songs instead of what became their upcoming album I’m Not Crying You’re Crying—out on January 13th via Six Shooter Records. But when the lockdown hit, the pair began churning out new original songs. “Luke was like staying up late every night and writing all the songs about lockdown,” remembers McClelland.
