Barenaked Ladies announce their 16th studio album Detour de Force will be released on July 16, 2021. Produced by JUNO and Grammy award winner Eric Ratz and Mark Howard, the eagerly awaited album features 14 newly minted tracks including “Flip”, the buoyant and sonically adventurous debut single and BNL’s first new music in four years.

Queerfolk Fest 2021 recently announced their debut festival, showcasing LGBTQ+ identifying artists and bands with a free live-streaming event from Club Passim in Cambridge, MA on June 12th. Sara Gougeon, a queer folk artist and graduate of Berklee College of Music, made this her mission after realizing the lack of venues highlighting artists like her. Gougeon embarked on her journey to amplify queer folk artists with the creation of her music company, Pineworks Creative.

Crack The Sky is undoubtedly the best progressive rock band that you've most likely never heard of, unless you we're living in Baltimore in the 70's. The band was formed in the early 1970's in West Virginia. It would be several years before they would release their debut self-titled album, Crack The Sky in 1975. Rolling Stone declared this album the 'debut album of the year' and the publication later went on to compare Crack The Sky to the talents of Steely Dan. This review set the bar high for the band.

SUSTO released a new live album, Rogue Acoustic, via Acid Boys/Missing Piece Records. The album was recorded in February of 2020 at The Royal American in their hometown of Charleston, SC. The band also shared a live video “Mystery Man” featuring SUSTO alumnus Johnny Delaware — the track originally appeared on the band’s 2017 album & I’m Fine Today.

The Disco Biscuits brought the heat once again to the Westville Music Bowl on June 5, 2021. Temperatures hit almost 90 degrees in New Haven, CT, raising the energy level substantially for everyone at the show. The band played more bust out songs, a Frank Zappa cover, a delicious deep house “Tractorbeam” track, and other creative setlist niceties on this beautiful night in the Constitution state.

The Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT achieved lift off last night when the Disco Biscuits took the stage. Armed with their signature blend of jam rock and electronic dance music fusion, this Philadelphia based squad delivered inspiring jams to many fans who had not seen live music prior to the start of the covid-19 pandemic. The setlist incorporated fan favorites and a rare gem, which elevated the audience further.
