This summer, hallucinatory keyboard wizard Marco Benevento pulls back the curtain on his latest studio effort, simply titled, Benevento. Due June 10 on Royal Potato Family, the 11-track collection presents 40-minutes of small-batch psychedelia, bubbled up from his home studio (Fred Short Studios) at the base of the Catskill Mountains in Woodstock, NY.

Relentless Beats will once again host Deadbeats Arizona as a part of a multi-date Deadbeats tour Friday, April 22, 2022, at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, AZ, just 20 minutes outside of Downtown Phoenix. Created as an extension of the Zeds Dead independent record label, Deadbeats, the tour will carry forward Zeds Dead’s new vision for the future of electronic music and will uniquely connect passionate young creatives on each date.

Building on a shared passion for beauty, precision, and performance, and inspired by the shared historical significance of the iconic Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard and equally iconic Triumph 1959 Bonneville T120, the outcome of this unique partnership is a stunning one-of-a-kind custom edition of today’s generation of each legendary model.

Led by local saxophonist Sarah Mount, who hails from the Mile High City, Sarah Mount & the Rushmores have been delivering improv driven hard funk, jazz hop, and neo-soul to the Denver area for the last four years.

The last Friday of each month, they bring original music and unique covers featuring guest artists every show. March features Daniel Steigleder on tenor sax flying all the way in from Germany for the show.

Physically, Christopher Lockett is a fairly big guy who used to work as a bouncer, played sports in his youth, and can be imposing if he wants to.  “No one looks at me and says, “Yeah, that man…clearly a reader,” he jokes.  “You only get that if you get to know me.  Or listen to the songs I’ve written.”

Sometimes, the most unexpected music moments are the ones you'll remember best. This will definitely be the case of my last Friday. Starting off the day, I had no idea I would be at the Fox Theatre in Boulder that night...witnessing the mesmerizing force of nature that is Sierra Ferrell and her band. Full disclosure, I didn't know who Sierra Ferrell was. However, as moments like these tend to happen, that day would have been my deceased father's 76th birthday.

If you haven’t heard the early reports yet, there’s a new all-star psych/jam band making quite a stir with their exploratory shows and streaming events called The Gilmour Project. Yes, “Gilmour,” as in guitarist David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. But nearly the only thing this “project” has in common with their namesake is the same deep well of cosmic-blues-based progressive rock first dug out by the original band.

Everyone Orchestra is a blissful, masterfully conducted, fully spontaneous explosion of live music created by a rotating cast of world renowned musicians and led by conductor Matt Butler. Each show is 100% unique, as a carefully curated lineup of performers (from bands as preeminent as the Grateful Dead, Phish, The Meters, King Crimson, Ween, Widespread Panic, etc.) is guided through mostly up-tempo, danceable grooves under the creative leadership of Matt’s cues and improvised whiteboard directives.

Two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash, Graham Nash will release his new album Graham Nash: Live on May 6 via Proper Records. The record features Nash performing his first two critically acclaimed solo albums, Songs For Beginners and Wild Tales, in their entirety, recorded on tour in the Northeastern U.S. in September, 2019. Earl Scruggs Music Festival has announced the full lineup for its inaugural event taking place September 2-4, 2022 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina. Joining previously announced headliners Jerry Douglas, The Earls of Leicester and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band this Labor Day Weekend will be American banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck performing with his GRAMMY-nominated My Bluegrass Heart ensemble which includes Billy Contreras, Jacob Joliff, Justin Moses, Mark Schatz, and Bryan Sutton.
