Lilly Winwood’s new album Talking Walls beautifully captures a tumultuous period over the last couple of years; universally and, especially, personally. Like a lot of her performing songwriter compatriots, Winwood found herself working hard to pay the bills during that uncertain time in the music industry. “I’d be working in a restaurant all day and then at night, come 3 a.m., I’d be pulling half-written songs out of my apron,” she recalls. But through it all, Winwood never stopped writing.

The Indiana blues-rock outfit The Cold Stares have unveiled “Nothing But The Blues” and “The Ghost,” two new singles that reflect a new era of songwriting for the band. Since the age of 16, singer-songwriter Ryan Traster has written songs and performed live.  He has played in 'buzzy' bands in front of thousands of people as well as empty dive bars with a bored sound guy. “I’ve recorded in rad studios with incredible producers and I’ve recorded in a shitty apartment on a 4-track.  For me it’s always been about saying yes to music and having too much respect for the craft to think of it as a hobby.

Today, Backline and the Neal Casal Music Foundation announce The Neal Casal Fellowship for 2022-2023 on the third anniversary of the late artist's passing. The fellowship will be a unique opportunity to work with Backline, a non-profit organization focused on providing customized mental health and wellness resources to the music industry and their families.

On Friday, August 26, Papadosio shared their first music since the release of their 2020 studio album Microdosio. The song “Not Just a Word” is the first vocal track that they have put out since their 2018 album Content Coma.
