The Dead Funk Summit is a culmination of everything Joe Marcinek has done with the Joe Marcinek Band. It started with a concept of a different lineup every weekend using players from all over the country. This led to meeting and playing with prominent members of the Grateful Dead world and the New Orleans Funk scene. It sparked a dream Joe had of bringing together George Porter Jr and Melvin Seals. This historic summit of the two worlds will be the first time the two have shared the stage!

The daily schedules for the 2018 installment of Disc Jam Music Festival have been released, with daily headliners including Aqueous and Moon Hooch (Thursday), The Motet and Galactic (Friday), Beats Antique and Lotus (Saturday) and Tom Marshall’s Amfibian All-Stars (Sunday). The 2018 installment of Camp Euforia will be held July 12 - 14 at Jerry’s Farm in Lone Tree, Iowa. Previously organizers of the 15th annual Camp Euforia released the initial lineup and today a number of additions have been announced.

The Jauntee are getting ready to embark on a 30-date nation-wide tour that has the improvisational band on the road through the end of June. They'll be returning to some staple markets, including stops in their former hometowns of Gettysburg and Boston, and a two-night run in Cincinnati. They'll also be making several festival appearances throughout the tour, including their tour kick-off show at TheBigWonderful, Beanstalk, and ARISE.
