Fan-favorite reggae act Stick Figure, led by the multi-talented frontman, songwriter, and producer Scott Woodruff as well as the beloved Cocoa the Tour Dog, will be teaming up with jamband powerhouse Twiddle for a 17-show run across the country, with additional support from LA-based reggae group Iya Terra. The organic link between jambands and reggae has been clearly drawn with the announcement of the Above the Storm Tour, a traveling representation of top up and comers in each respective scene.

Fresh from Atlas Studios in Boulder Co, George Hunter recorded “Fool’s Gold” with Lifted Entertainment. Hunter wrote out a funk-flamenco fused pop burner about letting go of inhibition and going for what you really want.

Winnie Brave are a husband-and-wife, highway-stormin’, Americana/country-soul duo. They tour in a 1976 Winnebago with their two dogs and two old guitars. Space is tight but they love to log the miles and play their music to folks all across the country. They've recently released their latest album which is entitled, 'Cheap Gin'.

Asheville, NC in the fall is, by any measure, a lovely place to be. Gathered down on the banks of the French Broad river, at The Salvage Station, a venue that manages to be somehow both expansive and inclusive, I can’t think of any place I would rather be.

Guitarist, bandleader, and composer Steve Kimock already had an impressively diverse backdrop of music before co-founding KIMOCK, taking a notion from a creative apex following his previous album, the deeply personal and experimental Last Danger of Frost. The veteran multi-genre improvisor admitted in an interview with Grateful Web that he wanted to explore a side his musical self that was lesser seen onstage. His potently cascading compositions have always taken focus, each song is a journey, and the payoff is blissful yet unpredictable.

Heralded Austin-based blues/roots musician and songwriter Johnny Nicholas will reissue his long out-of-print 1977 album, Too Many Bad Habits, along with a special bonus disc of previously unreleased performances, on October 20 via his The People’s Label imprint. The two-disc set has been completely remastered and includes the liner notes from the original Blind Pig LP release in 1977. A new set of liner notes written by acclaimed author/music critic Ed Ward will also accompany the CDs and vinyl.
