Festivals

Friday, September 13th turned out to be a lucky day for thousands of concertgoers as huge crowds gathered all across the Del Mar fairgrounds for the elaborate KAABOO music festival. The opening day of the fifth annual gathering featured a variety of upscale amenities for an affluent crowd of music lovers combined with a diverse musical line up of big-name entertainment. VIP ticket holders were treated to an echelon of upscale perks, including a private music stage and a poolside view of the main stage.

Live for music and compelling live performances but not so much the large ‘music festival’ crowd? Joshua Tree Music Festival may have just what you need! This sweet festival, happening since 2003, is unassuming, unpretentious, and as un-mainstream as it comes. Prepare for a festival experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and engaged, rather than depleted and overstimulated.

The Desert is Freedom, Music is Power, and Community is Crucial.

I’ve had a few whirlwind romances with festivals before, but I’m infatuated with you, dear Shoe Fest 2019. The understated red and gold signs off the highway invited us in and although I cannot find the right words to say, I shall try to express how I love thee. From the moment we entered Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see in Manteno IL, we knew that this would be a truly special Labor Day weekend. There was a twinkle in security’s eyes when they approved our non-firework no glass bottles camper ready wagon. They waved us through as if it were their job to bring the most satisfaction and to welcome us in, accepting us as another member to the Shoe Family Tribe. We quickly and easily parked, gazing out over the sea of cars in anticipation of the festival grounds.

The 3rd annual Just Exactly Perfect Festival is just around the corner, happening along the American River in Placerville CA, at The Nugget Campground, September 27th - 29th!

From the 18th through the 21st of September 2019, Reeperbahn Festival, Europe’s biggest club festival, will celebrate 14 years of presenting the next wave of music talent from around the world in the legendary club district of St. Pauli and continue to serve as a top destination for international artists and industry.

Lights All Night is excited to announce that two new artists, Liquid Stranger and Subtronics, have just been added to the 2019 lineup in celebration of the music festival's 10th anniversary as it returns to Dallas, Texas on Friday, December 27th and Saturday, December 28th.

Our journey through day three of Outside Lands began with a heartfelt performance on the main stage from the original queen of soul and gospel music, Mavis Staples. Her set was packed with so many songs that have helped her career take flight throughout the years such as “Build A Bridge,” “Change,” and “We Get By” but her performance was about so much more than just hearing her hits, the ambiance of her performance was electrifying and the 80-year-old Staples simply put on a clinic on how music keeps us all young.

The weather was perfect for a weekend in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. Whether it was your first trip or 100th. For me, it was my first trip, but no better excuse to go than a mid-August weekend to see some great music.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, proud to be returning to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on October 4-6 for its 19th year, has just released its much-anticipated daily lineup.
