Italian guitarist and composer Andrea Zacchia returns with Anemoia, his second album and first on Filibusta Records, out May 30, 2025. Built around the dynamic energy of a Hammond trio, the album features Pietro Caroleo (Hammond organ) and Maurizio De Angelis (drums), blending modal jazz, post-bop, groove, and nostalgic imagination.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Federico Palmieri at Fusion Music Studio in Monterotondo, the album balances lyrical guitar phrasing, layered organ harmonies, and dynamic drumming. Together, the trio navigates between open structures and rhythmic intensity, evoking dreamlike scenarios and wide-open soundscapes.

The record includes original compositions alongside tributes to jazz greats such as Sonny Rollins’ Oleo, Wes Montgomery’s Full House, and Carl Perkins’ Groove Yard.

About Andrea Zacchia

Born in 1984, Andrea Zacchia is a jazz guitarist and composer who studied at the University of Music in Rome and Fonderia delle Arti. Known for his melodic sensitivity and innovative voice, he has released two albums as a leader and collaborated with numerous artists across Italy. His style, rooted in improvisation and narrative flair, positions him as a distinctive figure in contemporary jazz.
