Self-confessed demented-pop artist Eddy Lee Ryder has been writing songs and performing them in quite the nomadic way since she was a teenager, but her new single “Smoke and Mirrors” ended up in a place even she couldn’t have imagined; a hardcore slasher horror film.

Portland-based troubadour Tobias Berblinger presents the vinyl reissue of his 2018 album The Luckiest Hippie Alive, releasing on October 6th, 2022 via Ten Dollar Recording Co.. Crugie Riccio, of the ‘90s Hoboken, NJ power trio (later quartet) Cycomotogoat, and Bobby Lurie (AKA Blurry), a veteran drummer who’s played with jazz greats Buddy Collette and Dewey Redman, have formed the songwriting and recording duo Super User Friendly. They have released their debut double LP Señor Gato on Sniff These Records.

Grammy award-winning recording artist Jody Miller passed away this morning in Blanchard, Oklahoma from complications related to Parkinson’s Disease. She was 80 years old. Miller first signed to Capitol Records as a folk artist in 1962, landing her first single “He Walks Like a Man” on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1964.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member Loretta Lynn has passed away at age 90. She died peacefully in her sleep early in the morning Tuesday, October 4, at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
