As the band marks our 15th anniversary as a band, we also commemorate the 30th anniversary of Jerry Garcia’s passing. It is our honor to carry on this music—celebrating the spirit, joy, and healing power of Jerry’s songs with each of you.

Special Two-Night Celebrations

Prepare for a night of unparalleled musical alchemy as Steely Dead brings their electrifying fusion of Grateful Dead and Steely Dan to Boulder's legendary Fox Theatre for the official after-party of Phish’s monumental performances at Folsom Field. Set to coincide with Dead & Company’s “Dead Forever – Live at Sphere” concerts March 22 through May 17, Animazing Gallery in Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas will host a Grateful Dead Art and Photography Exhibit with a series of events in honor of the band’s 60th Anniversary.

I love the Dead. I could listen to "Brown Eyed Women," "Bertha," or "Jack Straw" every day for the rest of my life and be happy. But there comes a time to ask: "What would Jerry do?" Stella Blue’s Band is excited to announce the sixth annual Free Dead in the Park concert to benefit Riverkeeper, presented by The Capitol Theatre and RYTHM Premium Cannabis. Following in the footsteps of the Grateful Dead more than 50 years ago, Stella will take to the same stage at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park in New York City at 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 13, for two sets of music to raise awareness and funds to help clean up and protect the Hudson River and its ecosystem.

On March 27, 1991, the Grateful Dead's opening night at Nassau Coliseum was already etched in cosmic anticipation—spring break for me, a 20-year-old freshman at the University of Nebraska, originally from Paramus, New Jersey. Having already seen the Dead several times since I was 16, including my very first show at Madison Square Garden in September 1987, I knew this Nassau run was bound to be special.
