Montana-bred bluegrass outfit Kitchen Dwellers are captivating fans across the country with their high-energy live performances and unique approach to traditional music that fans have dubbed Galaxy Grass. Formed while attending college at Montana State, the group has burst onto the bluegrass scene sharing the stage with acts such as Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, The Infamous Stringdusters and Twiddle.

The 18th Annual Northwest String Summit (String Summit) is one of the top boutique live music experiences in the country and presents today's leaders in the Americana, Bluegrass, Indy Rock, and Jam genres. It all happens at the iconic Horning's Hideout (North Plains, OR) from July 18 - 21, 2019. Located just 20 miles outside of Portland, OR, Horning's Hideout, a private family-owned reserve of old-growth trees, wild peacocks, ponds, and campsites, is among the West's most awe-inspiring festival sites in the country.

On Thursday, May 2nd, 2019, Vermont-based Twiddle and Baltimore-based Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will co-headline the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a historic moment in the history of both bands. "What's really cool about this show is that we and the Pigeons have been friends and playing together for years when we were drawing 200 people and now, 5 years later, we are headlining Red Rocks together," shares Mihali Savoulidis of Twiddle.

The two rising collectives, The Kitchen Dwellers and Magic Beans, have set off on their first national tour together as “The Kitchen Beans,” and have been throughout the country. The Magic Beans and Kitchen Dwellers have had an escalating friendship for around ten years, playing numerous shows together and shining with their collaborative efforts.

The WinterWonderGrass Festival had its first ever foray to the east in mid-December. It was a warm welcome to the beautiful Vermont Green Mountains at the Stratton Ski Resort. There’s a saying in New England, and it especially applies to Vermont this time of year. If you don’t like the weather, wait an hour. This adage proved true over all three days of the WinterWonderGrass Vermont festival. Opening day Friday started out mild, mid-40s a bit grey. Everything looked perfect for a fine festival kick-off.

At the end of the month, Kitchen Dwellers will release a brand-new EP titled Reheated, Vol. 1. Marking the first in a series of EPs dedicated to covers, Reheated, Vol. 1 finds Kitchen Dwellers paying tribute to The Band, offering up their own twist on four classic tracks in celebration of the 42nd anniversary of The Last Waltz, The Band’s famed farewell concert on November 25th, 1976.
