Catskill Chill is a music festival held towards the end of the summer music festival season. Most people are burnt out, broke, or unable to take anymore time off to attend another music festival. If you had an excuse for why you couldn’t attend this year’s Catskill Chill at New Minglewood, you won’t be making those same excuses next year after learning about their extremely successful transition to a new campground.

On a perfect summer day in Colorado, there may be no better place to spend one’s time then Red Rocks Amphitheater with the reggae legendary band the Wailers and one of funk’s most invigorating bands, Lettuce. These two musical powerhouses always leave their crowds satisfied. This year, Lettuce was even better than they were last year. This show was staggering the whole way through.

Pop’s Farm, a sprawling 151-acre venue in the picturesque foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, will be alive with the sound of music and her people. Often described as “more than a festival”, Roosterwalk began as a celebration to commemorate the lives of Edwin "the Rooster" Penn and Walker Shank, two Virginians native to the area, who were taken from us too early. The event organizers have contributed more than $80,000 to date to charities involved in .

The same folks that bring you the musical mayhem of Dance Party Time Machine, Love Shack, and School’s Out are back with their original creation.  Way back in 2011 J2G Live decided that the music of the 90′s needed to be celebrated, and “Foolin’ Around in the 90′s” was born. That first event was such a success that it birthed the whole J2G Live brand and a series of innovative live events that have enthralled the Front Range for the last five years.

In the wake of an awful set of circumstances, faced with the possibility of a non-existent fall music extravaganza, the fabulous folk of Deadhead Productions have again stepped up to the plate with their announcement of Hillberry 2: The Harvest Moon Festival.  Earlier this year we told you all about the 1st Hillberry Music Festival that occurred this August on the Farm outside Eureka Springs, Arkansas… well party people, get ready to do it all over again!

It was a gorgeous day while tailgating in the south lot at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but as most people know, Colorado weather is very unpredictable. The weather turned fast, but not before the two openers: DJ Jazzy Jeff and Exmag got their sets in. There was a lot of talent in the lineup and a huge buzz around town regarding this show.

While one could marvel at the amount of choices in music festival concepts that now exist, one effortlessly rules over them all. Last year David Frey and Peter Shapiro took their extensive collective promotion experience in creating the ultimate festival concept. A festival where the main driving force is the necessity of collaboration. From there build the festival with the most top of the line (and no doubt expensive for promoters) stage setup, sound equipment, vendor variety, local food proprietors, extensive craft beer selection.
