The 9th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival will take place at the historic Monterey County Fair & Event Center from May 25-27 2018. The top tier national festival has become the premier gathering for the progressive U.S. reggae and positive roots movement, bringing in over 40,000 fans to the bay area over the Memorial Day weekend. National press accolades from Forbes, Billboard, and The Huffington Post keep recognizing the event for its leadership in greening, live streaming, art exhibitions, and overall community vibe.

Hot on the heels of their show-stealing performance at this year's One Love Cali Reggae Festival, Tomorrows Bad Seeds have announced the dates for their upcoming Illuminate headlining Spring tour. The Hermosa Beach, CA reggae-rock outfit will be joined on the road by Sun Dried Vibes, Roots of a Rebellion, and Thicker Than Thieves for the months of April and May. Patricia Vonne, the multi-talented musician, actress, award winning filmaker& two-time SXSW best female vocalist winner, is back with her seventh album Top of the Mountain, out May 25, 2018 on her label Bandolera Records. The album is hot on the heels of her recent win at the Madrid International Film Festival for “Best Animation award” for “Huerta de San Vicente,” a music video and homage to Spanish poet Federico García Lorca.

Giant Steps Music, the San Francisco based organization where musical and social innovation collide, is back with the release of their sophomore album, What If. The album is slated for release on March 8, which also marks International Women’s Day.

Brother Jerome was founded by singer-songwriter Ryan Bria, as homage to his late brother Jerome “Drew” Bria, a peace-loving man who stood for righteousness, love and the transformative effects of music. These characteristics have been a foundation for the young band and inspiration for the new album. Progress is their first full length album, set to be released on April 6, 2018.

Matador! Soul Sounds is proud to announce their debut album Get Ready. Australian native, New Zealand-bred soulful reggae star Sammy Johnson will bring his silky reggae soul music back to the United States this winter as special guest in support of the Green’s Marching Orders Tour. Sammy Johnson collides his Polynesian roots with his love for modern jazz and R&B artists like D’Angelo, Amy Winehouse, and Lauryn Hill, which results in a passionate musical hybrid that is undeniably soothing. He will be on tour alongside Hawaiian-based reggae band The Green.
