Savannah Stopover Music Festival today announced that more than 30 bands will perform at the 2022 festival, March 11-12, which will take place on the grounds of the Georgia State Railroad Museum. In 2020, Stopover celebrated their 10th anniversary as one of the best curated music discovery festivals in the country.

A powerhouse from the Lone Star State, Ally Venable has ignited excitement in the modern blues scene. The 22-year-old lead vocalist and guitarist started singing at an early age in church. Then, much to her parent's chagrin, she picked up the guitar and quickly found her passion. She soon established herself as a Texas blues guitar slinger.

If you recognize the voice of Ben Larsen, you are not mistaken. Larsen headed up the popular band Crow and the Canyon before going solo. Crow and the Canyon were more of an old timey, folk, bluegrass band, where his solo project has a lot more depth to the production. You still are treated to his unique brand of lyrics, but the vocals take an entirely new soulful characteristic. His new EP titled Drop will be out October 29th via Dutch Records. Over the weekend multi-Grammy Award-winning artist Robert Glasper kicked off his 33-night, 66-show Robtober residency at Blue Note Jazz Club.

Fans in the audience Sunday night were treated to impromptu performances from legendary unannounced special guests. Comedic giants Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock took the stage to introduce Robert Glasper, as well as perform an impromptu set of jokes.
