Award-winning mandolinist and music producer David Grisman announced today the HD release of Old & In The Way – The Complete Boarding House Tapes. The 4-set compilation comes exactly 40 years after the band played two shows at The Boarding House in San Francisco – the first on October 1, 1973 and second on October 8, 1973, from which the original LP was produced.

The canopy of treetops overhead, awash in color from the stage lights, absorbed a light drizzle. To my right, the deity of all double bassists, Edgar Meyer, calmly warmed up next to the main stage staircase.

As a relative newcomer to Colorado, I've been waiting to find a festival than can live up to the wonderful Arkansas festivals I've come to know and love over the years. I can definitely say I've found just such a festival high in the mountains at Rancho Del Rio, YarmonyGrass.
