Last night, Goose made their long-awaited debut at Alpharetta, GA’s Ameris Bank Amphitheatre, a night that underscored the band’s meteoric rise and added another storied venue to their growing legacy. Joined in support by Atlanta’s own Penelope Road, the evening proved both a homegrown celebration and a milestone stop on Goose’s fall tour, delivering two sets that balanced fan-favorite catalog staples, exploratory jams, and choice covers.

Set one opened with fireworks, as the band tore into a scorching rendition of Kate Bush’s 1980s anthem “Running Up That Hill.” From there, Goose launched into the dissonant, tension-building intro of “Flodown,” erupting into venue-wide applause. Anspach’s “The Whales” and the Fleetwood Mac-esque “Your Direction” followed in succession. The recently released single “Madalena,” from their surprise August 2025 album Chain Yer Dragon, showcased the band’s latest chapter of songwriting, while the groove-forward “Animal” segued into the slap-bass intro of “Yeti,” closing the set with high-octane energy.

Goose returned to the stage for a daring five-song second set that doubled as a masterclass in improvisation. The group opened with a deep-grooving take on Fat Freddy’s Drop’s “Fish in the Sea,” before steering into the muscle-car Americana of “Big Modern.” The extended jam bled into “Loose Ends,” making its first appearance since November 2024. The band then shifted gears into the tender ballad “This Old Sea” before closing the frame with a massive, euphoric “Madhuvan.”

As fans roared, Goose returned for an encore, sending the night off with a joyous singalong rendition of the catalog staple “Hot Tea.”

Goose’s fall tour continues tonight in Charlotte, NC, followed by upcoming shows in Columbus, OH, Richmond, VA, and Philadelphia, PA.
