Multi-GRAMMY nominated arranger/composer Pete McGuinness brings his NYC big band back to the stage of Manhattan’s Birdland, Jazz Club featuring several new works, as well as his arrangements from the band’s three CDs recorded since 2006. The gig will feature Pete’s music, his jazz vocals, and all the top-tier New York jazz musicians of the band. Great food served too! Hope to see you there.

Ellis Hall, “The Ambassador of Soul,” will be releasing his next studio album, Doc Kupka Presents: Let’s Make an Arrangement, on Strokeland Records (via Regime Music Group) on September 10, 2021.
Let’s Make an Arrangement was co-written by Stephen “Doc” Kupka of funk and soul pioneers, Tower of Power, and features 12 songs that offer a variety in terms of their musical range.

Tangerine Records has released a new lyric video for Ray Charles’ Grammy-winning 1993 recording of “A Song For You,” which was first written and recorded by Leon Russell. The song will be featured on True Genius, a newly remastered, limited edition set featuring 90 of the greatest songs from his legendary career and all of Ray’s biggest hits. The set also includes a special bonus disc of eight previously unreleased tracks recorded live in Stockholm in 1972.
