Philadelphia-born drummer, vocalist, and producer James “Biscuit” Rouse is honoring a legend. On Friday, September 5, he’ll host a dynamic Buddy Miles Birthday Celebration at The Cutting Room in New York City which promises to be a night of music, memories, and monumental grooves.

Chicago-based non-profit, Bluegrass Ambassadors, founded by critically-acclaimed bluegrass band Henhouse Prowlers, have, once again, partnered with ReString Appalachia, a non-profit initiated by the music history podcast American Songcatcher, to raise funds to provide musical instruments to individuals affected by the devastating flooding in Texas.

Kyle Hollingsworth has released “Waiting on Time,” the final sampling of his new album All We Are, out this Friday, August 1, 2025. “This was an organ based tune,” Hollingsworth says. “I was thinking about Greg Allman when I was writing it. Some of the imagery came from that style. The lyrics speak of the struggle with addiction and staying on track.
