The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND are excited to announce the re-issue of their acclaimed and platinum-selling LIVE AT GREAT WOODS DVD on March 26, their 52nd birthday. Filmed for a Japanese TV special 9/6/1991, the original DVD release incorporated interview segments into the songs, but this re-mastered version—with the rights recently being returned to the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND RECORDING COMPANY, with distribution by The Orchard--keeps the songs in full. It will be available on DVD and digitally, and individual audio and video

Deborah Grabien was part of the music scene long before she ever recorded a note.  At the age of 15, she was hanging around the Dead’s dressing room at Fillmore East, the guest of her 9-years-older rock journalist sister, who introduced her to Jerry Garcia: “This is my baby sister.” Raising an eyebrow, Garcia replied, “Far out.  Does she have a name?"

Without Getting Killed or Caught is the true story of Guy Clark, the dean of Texas songwriters, who struggles to write poetic, yet indelible songs while balancing a complicated marriage with wife Susanna, and a deep friendship with singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, on whom Susanna forged a passionate dependence. Clark, who died in 2016, wrote and recorded unforgettable songs (“L.A. Freeway,” “Desperados Waiting for a Train”) for more than forty years.

Cole Quest and the City Pickers are a group of New York City musicians connected by friendship and a love of bluegrass. Quest, grandson of the folk icon Woody Guthrie, has brought together a collection of eclectic pickers who have gained recognition on the local scene. Performing both Quest's original tunes as well as traditional favorites, the City Pickers bring their special brand of high-spirited talent to the stage, with up-beat, knee-slapping energy and a high-lonesome sound that’ll leave you wanting more.

Born in Louisiana but living in Baltimore, MD, Miles Gannett is making us rethink what it means to be an Americana artist. This rethinking is good. On his new album, Meridian, we're hearing a combination of hard driving bluegrass, as well as great folky songwriting. There's some jam moments, too. And it's all Americana. It's all rooted in the tradition of great lyrics paired with top tier instrumentation by great players.

On May 14, Alabama’s wildly prolific cult heroes The Pine Hill Haints will release The Song Companion of a Lonestar Cowboy, their debut for Muscle Shoals, AL-based independent label Single Lock Records.
