With exactly two weeks until AVLFest returns to dozens of Asheville stages, organizers at Worthwhile Sounds and Wicked Weed Brewing are excited to unveil the day-by-day schedule for its August 1-4 event. With over 350 artists spanning an extensive array of genres, plus a variety of bonus programs including comedy, panel discussions, family-friendly activities, and more, the 2nd annual AVLFest promises an unforgettable celebration of Asheville music and culture set to surpass the achievements of its inaugural event.

The Same Same But Different Music Festival (SSBD) is back for its sixth year, promising an unforgettable experience at the scenic Lake Perris State Park. With a vibrant community, breathtaking landscapes, and a lineup that guarantees to electrify, this festival is set to be the highlight of the season.

A Festival Like No Other

Borderland Festival has announced the addition of country guitar powerhouse Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country to the 2024 festival lineup. The four-piece act, led by Donato’s comprehensive arsenal of country, jam, and blues licks, will perform on Friday, September 13th, at the historic Knox Farm State Park—the home of all six years of Western New York’s premier music festival, Borderland.

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival Tour, featuring Slash and many of his musical friends, is a celebration of blues music. Slash was introduced to the blues early in life by his grandmother, who played him B.B. King and Albert King records. The blues genre has always resonated with Slash, incorporating its sound and feeling into his rock and roll musical style.

In the 10 days from July 19th to 28th, The Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival will celebrate its 40th consecutive year of bringing the finest and most entertaining jazz and blues to Birmingham, Sandwell, and the region.

A Global Musical Extravaganza

Boston’s Independent Radio, 92.5 the River announced that Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls will headline the station’s 22nd Annual Riverfest Music Festival on Saturday, August 24, 2023, from 12 Noon – 6:00 PM. Matt Pond PA, Ali McGuirk, and Zola Simone join the lineup for a full day of free music and activities at the Broadway Boardwalk at Salisbury Beach.

Blue Highway Fest is returning for its third annual bluegrass celebration, set to take place October 9-12, 2024 in the charming Southwest Virginia town of Big Stone Gap. Hosted by esteemed contemporary bluegrass outfit, Blue Highway, the festival has quickly gained acclaim since its inception in 2022, earning the prestigious International Bluegrass Music Association Industry Event of the Year Award following its inaugural event.

The 2nd annual Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 21–22 on the gorgeous eastern beach at Sandy Point State Park along Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, MD. Highlighting the finest in regional and national bluegrass, jamgrass, funkgrass, and Americana music, this conservation and community-focused musical event was listed as a “Don’t-Miss Bay Music Festival'' by Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
