Spring is just around the corner and Formula 5 has announced a 21 show Spring Tour kicking off at Nectar’s on April 6 and featuring stops throughout the Northeast, Midwest, and Southeast, as well as music festival performances at Dome Fest, Sterling Stage FolkFest and Disc Jam Music Festival. Along the way, Formula 5 will perform alongside Perpetual Groove, McLovins, The Magic Beans, The Southern Belles, Goose and Space Carnival.
The band took a break from tour and borrowed a friend’s tiny desk and brought it down to Red Hook in Brooklyn to have the Statue of Liberty as a back drop. “New Colossus” is a brand-new song composed by Kellen Asebroek, written to the words of a poem by Emma Lazarus that is inscribed on a plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty.
YES, one of the biggest bands in prog rock history and true pioneers of the genre, today (March 26) revealed the dates and details for this summer's 50th Anniversary North American tour titled #YES50: Celebrating 50 Years of YES. Tickets for the 30-plus date outing, which kicks off June 5 and 6 with a two-night engagement at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, IL, will go on sale to the public beginning this Friday, March 30 or Saturday, March 31, with select shows going on sale in early April.

There’s something irresistible about the Infamous Stringdusters. Their ebullient enthusiasm and riveting musicianship completely overwhelmed the packed house at Eugene’s (Ore.) HiFi Lounge on March 8. The Stringdusters performed two invigorating sets of their distinctively expansive, new grass music and beguiled the enthusiastic crowd. They produced a bona fide ball, flooding the small venue with ecstatic musical energy that felt bigger than the room.
