Day Three at Hulaween ushered forward with an exciting Halloween costume theme, as well as a full moon on October 28, 2023. This night proved to be a perfect night, at least as far as the weather was concerned, to do nothing other than howl at the moon. And that is exactly what concertgoers did on this vibrant evening. The theme was, of course, Full Moon.

Step into the Van Andel Arena, and you’d have been forgiven for thinking you'd been transported straight into the heart of the Grand Ole Opry with a dash of Madison Square Garden's wrestling flair. Billy Strings, in his larger-than-life avatar, orchestrated a 'Van Andel Scramble'—a harmonious collision of bluegrass and rock & roll on a hauntingly spectacular Halloween night.

The spooky vibes returned for Day Two at Hulaween in the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park on Friday, October 27, 2023. This day's headliners included three forces to be reckoned with in the jam rock world: The Trey Anastasio Band, Goose, and of course, our Hulaween hosts, The String Cheese Incident. The latter two collaborated for a surprise opening during the String Cheese Incident's second set.

On October 23, 2023, the Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, California, came alive as the renowned shock rocker Alice Cooper took the stage during a break from his Freaks on Parade tour with Rob Zombie. The 75-year-old Cooper's performance was a testament to his enduring prowess as an entertainer, featuring a newly designed stage with tastefully integrated video screens that enhanced the overall experience without overwhelming it.

Earlier this month, Grammy Award-winning Molly Tuttle brought her Road To Eldorado Tour to a close with back-to-back sold-out shows in Colorado. Performing in Fort Collins and Denver, these two concerts would be the only stops in the Centennial state for the fall and found the songstress and flat-picking wonder promoting her latest creation City of Gold.

The hauntingly fun festival Hulaween kicked off its tenth rendition at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. This year's lineup was perhaps the yet, with a wide mix of jam rock, EDM, funk, and hip hop. The String Cheese Incident has been putting on Hulaween for many years, even before this current magical stint in Florida, and this year was the best yet.

The Wallflowers delivered an extraordinary and intimate concert at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara on October 17th, marking a highlight in this year’s 150th-anniversary celebration. Led by frontman Jakob Dylan, the band took to the stage on a Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd.

What a joy to groove this with Steve Howe and Company in the current adaptation of YES. As alive as ever, and bringing our frequencies in tune this October Fall night starting with a laid-back presentation by Roger Dean of his work as he projected habitats and other worlds on the large screen. I begin to understand Dean taking me as a 13-year-old to another universe of possibilities is just one of many universes Dean travels to enlighten not just space, but how we live. In our homes and in our rooms. Dean was at ease at the mic and walked us through the way he allows his brain to find the images and solutions to space through meditation. It is a parable for the music to come inside the album cover.

In early October, the winged outfit Goose landed in Colorado to close out their latest tour, offering fans the opportunity to catch three solid nights of goodness set against the backdrop of the Front Range.

Beginning on November 2 and running through April 2024, the Canadian Genesis legacy band The Musical Box will be presenting an extended, multi-part tour of their acclaimed recreation of Genesis’ legendary Selling England by the Pound stage show. The tour coincides with the 50th anniversary of the original Genesis album of the same name, which was released in October 1973.
