The Funky Dawgz

Eggy made their seventh appearance at the Brooklyn Bowl, on March 23, 2024, quite memorable with a set of covers and guests in honor of the Jewish holiday Purim. Fans were encouraged to dress in costume, and the band dressed in decade-wear. They also sold out the New York, NY venue well before the date of the show. Uncle Jesse provided support with pre-show dance music.

The time honored jam band tradition of covering other bands as a "Halloween costume" was unequivocally alive and well this past Halloween weekend. The highly creative quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong dressed up as the Who Fighters at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT on October 29, 2022.

Celebrating the moment and not wasting time on unimportant things is what Pigeons Playing Ping Pong does best. Living life to the fullest and elevating friends in the process is their mantra. The quartet brought this vibe to Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY last Saturday night, where they reveled in their new, appropriately titled album release, Perspectives.

Connecticut-based brass powerhouse septet The Funky Dawgz return with a new single, “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.” Now available on all streaming platforms, the tune is the first official release from the band’s upcoming studio project Vertical, scheduled for release on June 17th. The album arrives as the Dawgz celebrate ten years since their humble beginnings at The University of Connecticut.
