Improvisational rock band Spafford will close out the year with a three-night New Year’s Eve run at Vivarium in Milwaukee from December 29–31. The year-end run promises to deliver three unforgettable nights of music leading into 2026. As always, Spafford will feature deep song selections, fan favorites, and unexpected detours as the band builds toward the midnight countdown on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday night.

Year after year, I ask myself how the Adirondack Independence Music Festival (ADK) in the heart of Lake George, NY, is going to level up, topping themselves with an inevitable smokin’ hot lineup announcement… and that’s just what they did. The most recent release of the daily schedule left me… wow… jaw agape! I enjoy a wide range of musical genres to get my fix at fests.

Improvisational rock band Spafford has announced a string of December Midwest tour dates, set to deliver their high-energy performances to fans across the region. Known for seamlessly weaving funk, rock, jazz, and electronic influences into a live experience that’s never the same twice, the band will kick off this run on December 2 in Lincoln, NE before making stops in Missouri, Illinois, and Michigan.

Spafford delivered another electrifying weekend of music starting with two nights at Woodlands Tavern in Columbus, OH and ending Sunday night at The Magic Stick in Detroit, MI.  A highlight of the run came Sunday night with a rare and moving cover of Neil Young’s "War of Man", a selection the band has only performed a handful of times. The emotional depth of the song segued seamlessly into a massive version of fan-favorite instrumental “Dirtbath”, igniting the room with dynamic shifts and deep grooves.

Improvisational rock band Spafford will close out their 2025 fall tour with a special three-night run in Colorado this November, bringing their signature genre-bending jams to some of the state’s most intimate venues. The run kicks off on November 20 at The Lariat in Buena Vista, followed by a stop at The Summit in Denver on November 21, and wraps up on November 22 at the celebrated Caribou Room in Nederland.

The Adirondack Independence Music Festival will return to Charles R. Wood Park in Lake George, NY, for three unforgettable nights over Labor Day weekend, from Friday, August 29th, thru Sunday, August 31st. This marks the 10th anniversary of the beloved festival, which will once again deliver a powerful weekend of live music.

Spafford has unveiled the dates for their highly anticipated Fall 2025 West Coast Tour, delivering 16 electrifying shows across the Pacific Northwest, California, and the Southwest. Kicking off October 21 in Seattle, WA, the tour will carry the improvisational rock quartet through intimate clubs and legendary venues, culminating with a hometown return at Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ on November 8.

This past weekend, genre-bending rock band Spafford delivered a high-energy, two-night stand at Electric Haze, captivating fans with deep improvisation, playful transitions, and a major surprise on the second night.

On night two, the band opened the show with the live debut of a brand-new song titled “Dissociation Assist” — a moody, exploratory track that leaned into the band’s more experimental side while still anchored by their signature groove.

Fans at the Nashua Center for the Arts were treated to a surprise collaboration on Sunday night as Gator, the high-energy drummer from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, joined forces with Spafford during the band’s first set finale, a blistering cover of JJ Grey & Mofro’s “On Fire.”

Concert Under the Stars—and these stars were bright, Spafford. Opening the night on the good foot with “Can’t Find My Vape,” demonstrating keyboardist Cory Schechtman’s ability to dance up and down the ivories. With drummer Nick Tkachyk and bassist Shon Gordon holding down the chill Vibz, we are certainly off to a good start!
